Question about 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt
The AUX port cuts out while playing music causing one or both speakers to not work. Almost as if there is a short in the wiring. Is there a way to replace the port or does the whole stereo system need to be replaced?
Unfortunately the whole head unit needs to be replaced if the actual port is broken, but before you spend all of that money buying and installing a new head unit, try to replace the cable that you are using.if it still does it after the new cable then try to get some electric contact cleaner spray from the auto parts store CRC makes a good cleaner spray.Spray it into the aux port on the head unit and see if that works. If that does not work then replace the whole head unit
