Bucking between 45-50mph usually going up hill. Works fine at any other speed on any terrain.

Think it is the engine bucking but not 100% sure.

Have a shop put the scan tool on it & go for a ride up hills
& look at the cylinder misfire counts & you go along, you drive

Never just leave the vehicle, you need to be part of the solution
& get the education

You could replace spark plugs if they are over 3 years old

You need to be able to test, scope or somehow evaluate the
ignition system for misfires

Coils,Modules,Wires, anything can break down in time

Egr System problems, especially on hills, if vacuum is involved

What would cause my 2000 ranger to buck between 45 and 50 mph going up hill

Yea! I'd like to see the answer to this also!
My Ford Explorer 2000 does the same thing going up hill. Especially with a loaded trailer on.
Local mechanic had it for the day and couldn't put his finger on it.
I can alleviate the problem by turning the AUTO Trak knob to 4x4 Hi while driving and the jerking stops.
I'll keep an eye here to see what others think
Cheers

How Fast wil l a 300cc taotao4 by 4 atV go and why do I have to put you in for low to pull a hill

The max speed is limited by the weight of the rider, the slope of the terrain, and the state of tune. As for going up hill, power again is limited by the weight being transported and the degree of slope. This should be obvious.

When i accelerate strongly my car bucks

Previous owner may have put the incorrect spark plugs in it. Other than that your fuel filter could be blocked up. Worse case your cam could have a wiped lobe.

I have a 1995 Maxima. For in town driving is the overdrive to be on or off?

this is really not a problem, overdrive will only be used if car speed is up to speed for it to engage and that is how its designed. If you pull a trailer or if you are in a hilly area and your car keeps shifting in and out of overdrive you should turn off untill more flater terrain, otherwise it doesn't hurt your vehicle.

Lost power to engine

Check make sure all plugs are firing. Sounds like what my 93 Rodeo was doing-Idled okay but very rough when in gear. Turns out only 5 out of 6 plugs were firing due to a defective ignition module- 100 bucks later it works fine.

Hope this helps.

Transmission Bucks on hills

Replace plugs and wires at the same time and this will fix it. It is not a transmission problem. Common customer problem at a dealership I worked at. Carbon tracking on plugs and wires will cause this , so replace both at the same time to fix.
