Question about 2008 Chevrolet Impala
It's not always real easy to remove a fender, screws/bolts under wheel house cover, at back of fender accessed from open door, possibly from behind headlight, you just have to keep looking for all the bolts til you can pull it off

The easiest way is to rent an inner axle shaft removal tool. You should be able to from a local parts supplier.

A trim tool used for all trim work that can be aquired at auto parts stores and tooldealers looks like a forked ended screwdriver with a 30 degree bend near the end inserted under the edges of the panel and pry out the pop connectors and the panel may need to be raised up just some to unhook the top edge but the bottom will need to swing out first. Power window switches should be unhooked first, the rear edge pried up first then the switch lifted and the wire connectors removed. there are light fixtures with either the blub to remove or the connector to unplug the inside door handle may have screws behind the trim that s removed with the trim tool also. It helps removing plastic parts when warm as the cold makes the pop connectors easy to break new connectors can be baught at auto body parts and auto paint stores and sometimes regulat auto parts stores. These stores also sell the trim tools
