Need a clutch pedal diagram for a 1999 s10 2.2 4cyl manual trans

Sorry no diagram. But here is how it works. In the start position(Power) the wire goes to the start fuse, from the fuse it goes to the clutch pedal switch. Push the pedal and it goes to the starter relay. On the other end is ground. If it is good it pulls the relay closed. On the closed end is battery power to the starter.

Just bought a 1996 jeep Cherokee didnt get it a mile then a noise no clutch.the cable didnt break just the bracket that holds the cable to pedal.help please

Here's a link to one of many parts places, complete with a diagram you can use to identify and order the broken part. There are several components to the clutch pedal unit. Study this diagram and see if you can identify the broken piece. Then you can order it, and either take it to a trusted mechanic or do it yourself. Your local auto parts store can order as well.

Its pretty simple set up, you go from the pedal assembly to the rod in the back down to the frame rocker, the linkage from the frame rocker to the clutch fork, you will also have a return spring there

Is there a diagram of where the clutch return spring is on a 2008 Hyundia Santa Fe?

The clutch don't have spring to return. hydraulic pressure return the pedal. if you pedal go down to the flour and don't return you lost the pressure. First look in the reservoir for fluid. add DOT3 brake fluid and bleed the system. inspect for leak
Good luck

Broken clutch pedal

The shaft attached to the pedal connects to a device that changes the forward motion of the pedal to a backward motion to the clutch. These shafts are attached with cotter pins and you might be lucky and simply broke one. Check this site for how a clutch works: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/clutch.htm

Reattaching the shafts with new cotter pins isn't hard. But if one is broken, you have to get a replacement. Try a junk yard, it's cheaper.
