Its something wrong with air mass calculation , it might be besouse of exhaust gas recirculation faulty/dirty, some leaks at mainfold intake, wirring harness , becouse most of problems with skoda form 2005 to 2012 is with wirrings.

Why does my 2014 ford ranger emit excessive black sooty exhaust smoke when under load / accelerating?

Sounds like either an Oxygen sensor has failed or is failing or you have 1 or more injectors leaking. If your vehicle has a check engine light on then check that first. If not you're going to have to do some digging around and testing to see what has failed or is failing. There are many ways to test them. If you're going to do the work yourself I would suggest going on YouTube and watching videos on how to test the Oxygen sensors or the injectors.

Hi I have a 1997 cadillac eldorado 4.6l northstar engine. It went from normal to blows clouds of smoke out the rear exhaust. Run sluggish.

clouds of smoke out the rear exhaus ,What color ? blue smoke is oil , white smoke is most of the time coolant is getting into the engines cylinders , Black the engine is running rich ,too much fuel . DTC P0135 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1

P0441 & P1441 will be back , may take a day or two , but will be back because gas cap has nothing to do with it .

DTC P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient - Probably has plugged passages . Take the EGR valve off the vehicle an clean the passages out .

Black smoke comes from exaust when I start. Could it overfuel and how can I fix it if its a new carb on my 88 2e 12valve

assuning there is nothing major wrong, get some forte injector and use it as recommended. I once had a renault laguna diesel fail an MOT test, a roadworthiness test that is, on was absolutely chucking out black smoke but the engine ran well. I put 2 bottles of injector cleaner in the half full tank and went out for an eighty mile drive revving the engine in the lower gears. I returned to the testing station an hour and a half later and the engine was running perfectly.
Alternatively, assuming the engine runs well but is just a little smokey, have it terracleaned, this will remove most of the carbon deposits from the engine/exhaust and should increase the life of your engine simultaneously improving fuel economy

Constant black smoke whenever accelerator is used?

Too much gas going through the engine-that's why black smoke. That's all your unburned gas going out the exhaust. Have the fuel pressure tested. A failed pressure regulator will pull extra gas into the engine. Pull off the vacuum hose to the regulator. If any evidence of gas in the hose, the regulator's diaphragm has broken and sucking gas through the hose into intake.
If fuel pressure is correct, have a scan done for trouble codes.

My 1999 Mercury Sable failed inspection test with three codes 1)PO125 2)P1507 3)P0401

When I run search for p01252 and p15073 I got no hits codes do not exist. The p0401 is a good code and comely found it is for the EGR system (exhaust gas recycle) to do proper test all you need is a vacuum pump and volt meter. A scan tool would make it a lot easyer but most people don't have one. Do a visual check. The most common item is the DPFEGR sensor which should be replaced with the hoses.
The test to pinpoint the problem requier specal test equiment. Double check on the other 2 codes.

Check Engine Light On-OBD reads two codes P1405 & P0401

It is located on the right front valve cover area. It will be either black or silver and have a 3 wire connector with wire colors BN/WH,GY/RD,BN/LG. It will have 2 rubber hoses going from it and connecting to two metal tubes which run to the exhaust.

Now what sets the the P1405 is.
While driving, the EGR monitor commands the EGR valve closed and checks the differential pressure across the EGR orifice. The test fails when the signal from the DPF EGR sensor indicates EGR flow is in the negative direction. Make sure both of the hoses are hooked up and not damaged.
P0401 sets when:
The EGR system is monitored during steady state driving conditions while the EGR is commanded on. The test fails when the signal from the DPF EGR sensor indicates that EGR flow is less than the desired minimum.
So the DPFE could be causing both codes.
I would also recommend that you take a hand vacuum pump and pump vacuum on the EGR while engine is running and make sure you have a drop in RPM so you know that the EGR ports are not stopped up,they are bad about this too.
As far as the rattling converters this could possibly have an effect because it does use exhaust back-pressure along with vacuum to help open the EGR but if the exhaust is still basically stock this probably won't have enough effect on the back pressure to cause this unless they have stopped up and have so much back pressure it is blowing the hoses off of the DPFE or getting so hot it melts them. You can check this with a vacuum/pressure gage, just hook it into one of the hoses from the DPFE and you should have 1 PSI at idle and 3 to 4 PSI at wide open throttle. Anything more would be a restriction.
If all of this is ok then replace the DPFE.
