Radio work fine the speaker itself will not make a sound

If the radio itself is fine (and you've checked it with another speaker connected directly to it), and nothing comes out of your speakers, then either the speakers are broken or the wire to them is broken.

If, on the other hand, you have not tested the radio with another speaker connected directly to the radio, then you cannot say that the radio works fine. Do the test and see.

Plz help. 2004 saturn vue. one night the radio is working just fine the next morning I got in the car the radio comes on but there is no sound coming out of the speakers I've checked all the fuses and...

With the radio on, make sure there is voltage at the speaker wire positive and negative leads. If there is no voltage, the output from your receiver might have gone out.

Blown speakers! Need to attache to bad speaker and see if you hear sound to verify blown speakers.

Speakers not working

Probably 2 different problems here. Try checking for power at the horn wire when it is pushed. If so, replace the horn. Speakers may just be disconnected. If nothing at all, even static, probably the radio is not working!

My 2004 Chevy Trailblazer CD play and AM radio works. My FM quit working?

Have you pulled the radio all the way out and make sure the attena is plugged in the unit itself. I would first make sure the new attena's wire is the same exact wire going directly to the stereo unit. Insufficiant grounding of the unit can also cause a weaker signal it will receive b/c it relies on it more as a ground rather than a clear signal receiver and alot of interference and static is transisted instead.

1st check fuse for Amplifier.

2nd if fuse is good, most likely the Amp has died. Common for GMC

Durango radio fade problems

Your front speakers are more than likely blown. They make all kinds of different models and price ranges to look at. This gives you a good opportunity to upgrade your stock speakers to handle what your throwing at it.

Olds Cutlass factory radio/cassette, radio doesn't work.

When you say tried different radio and it didn't work, does this mean the tuner acts like it is functioning, but you hear nothing out of the speakers?

If so, this stinks of a bad ANTENNA...

MY FACTORY RADIO VOLUME PROBS

More than likely with a 2003, the speakers that cut out are in the door or doors. Do they cut out of both speakers?

If they cut out of one, then you may have an intermittent speaker ( the wire to the cone becomes partially connected)

If both speakers turn off at the same time and you hear NOTHING on all speakers, then you more than likely have an intermittent connection on the radio itself and probably replacement is probably cheaper than fixing the radio.

One more thing
Factory radios sometimes have an amplifier in them. Sounds funny but they call the Radio in the dash the Head Unit and the amplifier is buried in the dash. You could have a bad amplifier or a loose power connection to it, but that is very unlikely.

Hope this helps.
