What is the maximum speed of chrysler imperial 1964

1964 Chrysler Imperials had the legendary HEMI engines in them, which made them super powerful. My guess is it had "dual quads" for carburetors. Are those carburetors in-line, or offset (side to side) from one-another, on what was commonly known as a "cross-ram" intake manifold?

Just wondering What my engine is out of. i bought it as a 350 Chev but not sure exactly if its a 350 or not. engine number KO314CMJ casting number 3970010

Hey spoofy, that is a good block casting...Chevy used that from 1969-1979. The Vette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, Monte Carlo and Trucks all had this engine. If it's a 4 bolt main, the chances it came out of a Vette are very good. The engine number you give does not cross reference.
I hope this helps.

I have a 1992 chrysler new yorker, it will not go over 40 miles per hour, is that a transmission problem?

OK, if the engine is overspeeding at 40 mph and won't rev any higher, then I would say the transmission is not up shifting to higher gears. A solenoid blocked up or defective may be the problem. I would then have the transmission replaced or rebuilt to solve the problem.

If the engine is not overspeeding, then I would look at the engine itself not providing enough horse power for the transmission to up shift in the first place.

Good luck on this repair.

The AC and power windows just stopped functioning yesterday, on my 1991 Chrysler Imperial. I don't see a fuse that has both functions associated. Any help would be great. Thanks David

Take a look at thse two and replace them:

Fig. 3: Relay and flasher module — Dynasty, New Yorker (1989–93), Fifth Ave. and Imperial

(This is for the power windows)

The fuse panel, which contains fuses and circuit breakers, is located behind the glove box door. Additional fuses are in the Power Distribution Center located near the left side strut tower in the engine compartment. Each item is identified on the cover of the Power Distribution Center.

There is an additional relay module (relay and flasher module) located to the right lower corner of the instrument panel (Dynasty, Imperial and Fifth Ave.) or behind the cup holder (New Yorker). A relay or flasher can be removed by pulling it straight down from the module.
