step one is 22 ft lbs.
step two is 52 ft lbs
step #3 is turn an additional 90 degrees. sart in the middle and work your way out going top tobottom, good luck.

Testimonial: "thanks very much. I thought that the "90 degrees" on the gasket instruction sheet was a misprint. Your answer was quick and informative. G.M."
The cause of this problem is likely a failed transmission, have a local shop do a few checks before tearing it apart, the repair will cost $1000's so make sure the van is worth the cost to repair is my advice.
