Check that the thermostat is not stuck. Remove it and check it in boiling water, you should see the plate open at a temperature near its rating (210-220F). Or just replace it.

Check also that the coolant level is not low and that the water pump is indeed circulating coolant.

99 kia sportage will not start and wipers, power windows, and heater fan don't work either

In the engine compartment fuse/relay box, check the 40A IGN fuse. If it is blown, the items you mentioned will not work. Replacing the fuse should clear up the trouble and you'll be able to start

99 chev malibu, cooling fans dont come on

make sure it is full of coolant, next check for a bad fan relay, to see if fans are ok! run a wire from positve post on battery to positive on fan motor, ground other side if need be. if fans do not work they are bad, if they do work, check relay to fan and coolant tempurature sensor if needed.

I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that is running hot, cooling fan is not working has a ground doesn't have power. If I jump it out the fan works. What controls the power?

I have the same problem with my 99. I am going to try to jump it to test if it's the fan itself that's dead, which I doubt it is. If it works when I try to hard wire it then it's either the fan fuse, the fan relay or the temperature sensor that is bad. I am thinking I have a bad temp sensor which is what tells the fan to kick on when the coolant is warming up. If my fan works when hard wired then I am going to jump it off one of the fuses that is only on when the vehicle is running. I don't think it will hurt anything to always have the fan running while the car is running.

You need to check the blower motor to see if it has power going to it.Get volt meter hook the red end to the blower plug and put the black to a ground now turn the key and the fan on and see if you have 12 volts or more.If you do it most likly the blower motor

What's the normal operating temperature for a 2.4 petrol? The 99 A4 I have runs at 90c and gets hotter in slow traffic. Fine on open road.

Could have a semi blocked radiator , Might pay to get it flushed.
Also check that the Fan/s sre coming on.
Hope this helps
