Check your catalitic converter, excessive back pressure will make the vehicle feel like you are pressing the brakes while trying to floor it. Does the converter glow bright red? then there is a problem with the system, most likely a plugged converter, or muffler

It **** Every Now And Than On The Streets but on the freeway when i step on it it seems like there is no power at all but it will graudally pick speed up slow

you don`t say if its fuel injected or not if it is then it could be a fuel pump problem that is not supplying enough fuel volume for the requirments but has enough pressure.this needs to be checked out and compared to specs.the other thing it could be is possibly a converter plugging up and needs replacing.the exhaust back pressure will have to be checked.at idle it should be below 1lb pressure and at 2000 rpm it should be below 2lbs.

2003 dodge caravan is slow to pick up speed

Replace the fuel filter as a first step, but also check for a faulty fuel regulator. Find the fuel regulator near the throttle body in the fuel line and pull off the rubber hose and see if there are any traces of fuel dripping out of the rubber hose. The hose is for air only and fuel in that hose indicates the fuel regulator requires replacement. Also check for vacuum leaks in the hoses from the motor's intake to the crankcase where the PCV valve is located. Relatively small holes in that area will cause poor acceleration and a lean condition in the motor and loss of power or hesitation. Also check the plastic air tubes going from the air filter box to the throttle body area to make sure everything is tight and there are no holes. Holes or leaks there will cause hard starts and poor driveability.

Wynding noise under dash when picking up speed.

Does the winding noise speed nup and slow down with the movement of the car? Does the sound seem like an electrical whine or a mechanical whine? It could be your speedomiter cable.

Loosing power at sped

Where do you live that it is legal to drive 120 mph? Your hitting the built in speed limiter. The car is telling you to slow down.

Power steering problem when moving slow or rpm drop

no it is the power steering pump. the pump is worn so at low rpm or low speeds it is real tough to steer. but when the rpm is picked up the steering gets easier.

Also check belt tension but at high rpm speeds the belt would slip and squel real loud. so i would point the problem to the power steering pump.

hope this fixs ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Car stalls when coming to a slow dow or stoping

If your check engine is not on, check for a vacuum leak by listening for hissing; check your pcv valve (replace it for 3 dollars if you don"t know how to check); check egr valve for clogging and proper function.
