DTC P0300 indicates random multiple misfires have been detected. Probable causes are:
1. Vacuum leaks, damaged hoses, improper routing
2. Contaminated fuel
3. Ignition system problem(s). Check the ignition module, coil, spark plugs and wires
4. Fuel system problem(s)

My 1998 Bonneville has a PO300, and PO300pd code, what can i have done to correct this

P0300 means your engine is missfiring. Most likely cause of these vehicles is a spark plug that is carbon trcked along the porcelain.Remove the plug and check for a gray/black line that you cannot remove by just wiping with your fingers.if you find one replace it and the plug wire.Other possiblities are:dirty injectors, intake manifold leaking c oolant into the engine.mechanical concern.good luck

Can't read misfire codes

The code P0300 is a random misfire code which means any cylinder and the code P0316 means that there is a misfire code set within the first 1000 revolutions of the engine. Good luck with this problem.

Code #12,43,43,43,72,55

code #43 is for a cylinder misfire, since there are 3 codes, this would mean there are misfires on 3 of the cylinders.
code #12 means the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 key cycles (nothing to worry about unless you didnt disconnect the battery)
code #55 is just a code to let you know it has reached the end of the list
code #72 means the catalytic converter efficiency is low.

knowing the P-code would help alot more.

there are a few ways you can start to diagnose this problem, change the spark plugs, wires, and coil pack. if it isnt this, then you can go more dramatic and change the catalytic converter because it might be clogged and therfor causing the misfire
