How long does it take to replace the starter on a 2000 S Type Jag?

This is a good 4-5 + hour job for a professional.

In this vehicle the steering rack must be removed for access... along with a rear engine height adjusting tool (Jack)

blueextc3221_16.jpg

See the following:

  1. Working from below the vehicle, remove the power steering rack for access. (biggest part of the job.)
  2. Disconnect the starter motor main terminal.
  3. Disconnect the starter motor solenoid terminal.
  4. Remove the starter motor bolts.
  5. Carefully remove the starter motor.
  6. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten the starter motor securing bolts to 38-48 Nm.
  7. Install the steering rack. Refill the reservoir with the recommended fluid and bleed the steering system.
  8. Lower the car.
  9. Connect the battery and install the battery cover.

Thanks!

How do i replace the starter motor on my 2002 renualt scenic

I have just replaced the starter on a 2001 Scenic 1.6 16v, after working it out the job could be easily done in 2 hours.
Jack the front of the car up, remove the engine bottom cover. From the top of the engine remove the airfilter then the 3 bolts that attach the starter motor. From underneath remove the oil pressure transducer (you need to remove this to allow room to pull the starter out), then unbolt the 10mm nut that attaches the electrical connection on the starter. The 10mm nut does not detach so gently prise the connection away from the starter. The starter should now be free to move, if not gently use a screwdriver to prise away. The starter will now come out with a bit of manipulation, there is no need to remove the driveshaft.

How do you change the motor in a 97 chevy camaro z28

From underneath. The whole K member has to be taken out. After thats done its a piece of cake. Jack the car way up and slide the engine out of the bottom of the car. This is a easier job if you have access to a lift.

How to locate starter motor in mazda 323F

The starter motor is located on the back side of the engine (closest to the firewall) underneath the fuel injection/intake manifold. To replace it, first disconnect the battery, then remove the main power cable (heavy wire) and the start wire (light wire). Next remove the two bolts for the intake manifold support bracket and remove bracket. Remove one bolt on starter rear support bracket and 3 bellhousing flange bolts (two accessible from starter side, on accessible from bellhousing side). the starter is now free and can be taken out form teh passenger's side (LHD).

Starter operates intermitanly. for the last week the starter motor has a job to engage,i have to keep turning the ignition switch on and off until it engages.

Had same problem. Have to lift the car so you can crawl under the engine. Just to the rear of the engine from underneath you will find the main lead connected to the starter, remove the rubber cover and undo the nut and clean the connector and terminal with some emery paper and replace then smear some grease on. This worked a treat on my sedona

How is the way to change the dead a/c blower motor from my 2002 buick lesabre and to put a new one in???

you have to remove the cover thats underneath the glove box.Disconnect the plug from blower relay to motor. The blower motor has 9/32 or 7 mm screws holding it in remove thos and you will have to allow it to drop down and probably tilt it to remove it from under the dash. The cover under the dash has several small screws they should be 1/4 or 9/32 also and it will have a light coming through it be careful not to rip the light out. then reverse the process
