My 93 Altima will not start. I did the self diagnostic and got code 55?? It started a few weeks ago ran great for the weekend, got it to work and would not crank to go home.

Josh, Code 55 for your Altima simply means no faults were found/no malfunction. Do you mean car would not crank(engine not turning over) or did you mean engine will crank, but not start. I will post troubleshooting links to both conditions below. If not comfortable, have a good Technician look at it, diagnose and estimate repair.

2002 altima 2.5 no spark from spark plugs

There is no button you can push to fix that. You will need to do some actual troubleshooting.
Considering the age of the vehicle, especially if the mileage is also high, start by checking that the TIMING BELT is still intact.
Next, check the COIL PACK and the ECM. Use an ODB code reader to access any stored fault codes to assist your troubleshooting efforts.
Best of luck to you!

It's a landcruiser prado which won't start because there is a certain warning light on.

Warning light on ,is the indication of error code stored in your vehicles computer module.Getting vehicle scanned will let you know, what code is stored. So as per that further troubleshooting can be done.-------------For more troubleshooting on this issue manually, click the link below and follow the details:-----http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2012/10/landcruiser-prado-wont-start.html

I have a KIA Sportage T reg petrol 2.00L and it is missfiring/chugging I hear this may be a common problem vcan you suggest anything Thanks

Misfire issues can generally be categorized as localized or random.A localized misfire in my definition would occur on at most two specific cylinders. In OBD II diagnostic code terms, that would be 2 trouble codes of the form P030x and P030y.; whereas a code P0300 or several different codes P030a, b, c, etc. would indicate a random misfire issue. These two different categories of misfire call for different troubleshooting procedures. In each case, however, the cause of the misfire can be electrical or air/fuel related and can also be continuous or intermittent.I will start with the localized case, so if you have a random misfire, please skip ahead to that section of the post. Need to troubleshoot a 2007 model Venture - will not turn over to start; battery good, relays and fuses good, how do I begin to troubleshoot ? Need a wiring diagram. I have an OBD2 code reader-will this do...

Check your battery terminals for cleanliness and tightness, then check your dash for security lights when you turn your key to the on position, see if any lights stay on. You may have a security system issue. The OBD2 code reader can come in handy to see if you have any stored or pending codes, that maybe causing some of your issues. If you do have codes this can start you off in the right direction to start looking.

Have a code p1457 car will start but shut back off

Hello.. This code indicates a leak in the EVAP system... These codes can be simple or very complex to troubleshoot and fix...

The simplest troubleshooting and fix is to look at the fuel cap gasket... If it is worn or dried out, replace the cap with one from a dealership, not the local parts store... If this fixes it the light will go out after a few start cycles...

If that is not the problem... You have a complex issue that normally requires special test equipment like a smoke machine or compressed air and dye...

Try the simple fix... Hope it works... Good luck...
