Question about 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe
All 3 seat motors work fine. good vertical and tilt. however seat will only move about 1 inch forward or backward. seat tries to move on left side but seems to bind on right sidel. can see nothing jamming track. do not know how movement is transfed from motor to track or what makes movement on track. maybe seat needs to be removed from vehicle but can not see how? THANKS FOR ANY HELP OR DIRECTION, SURE APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS
Make sure nothing is lodged under the tracks this is common things get thrown under the seat and stops them in the track

first thing to do is to remove that switch and test it with a multimeter with continuity check to see if the switch is working properly
basically you are checking to see if switch is completing circuit

There is a plastic guide on the front track that will eventually move over time. When this happens the window will not track properly all the way down. Also be sure you have that little metal strip that runs along the door at the bottom of the window. Without that strip the window will never go down properly.

SOURCE: My drivers seat has started
Remove the seat by unscrewing the bolts which hold it to the floor of the car. Assuming it is not power you will see a cable operated by the handle you lift in order to intentionally move the seat. It has come loose on the end which pulls a dog out of the adjustment notches on the rail. You will need to fix it. If it is power seat then you are going to need another seat acquired in a junkyard or on craigslist. get this locally as the shipping will be ridiculous. many junkyards are now on line and you can search their inventory and see what other models and years have compatible seats with your vehicle.

Hello....have it re-flashed with the updated software at a dealer....you might try
removing the seat ckt breaker located in the left IP fuse block for a few
seconds,or just unhook the battery for a few minutes to see if it resets
itself...sometimes that will work.
Here is the GM bulletin issued for this problem:
