Are you using the available wiring kit? Your local Walmart auto parts sells these specific kits (for your Jeep) about $12 to $18...Any other wiring could lead to other problems. How was the radio tested?

Sounds like your blower motor rheostat needs to be replaced. I'm about to replace mine for the second time. Fan just quits working altogether when the rheostat goes.

SOURCE: power windows won t work

There are broken wires in the wiring harness between the frame and your driver's side door. These wires control all the windows and door locks in a 95 Jeep. Same thing happened to me. You will have to cut the rubber boot to get it off and check which wires are broken and repair them.

SOURCE: power windows won t work

I alsao own a 95 grand cherokee.
Certain windows would stop working when the drivers side door closed. I removed the rubber boot in between the door hinges that shields the wiring harness and found several wires in a condition of broken and/or shorting.

I will say these shorts also caused the battery to drain on several occasions when the car sat overnight.

It is easier to re-attach and work with these wires if you remove the harness plug from the door. There is an allen screw located in the middle of the plug...sorry I dont remember the size....

Hope this helps

What is the wireing colors for the radio in a 92 jeep cherokee larado

All vehicles wiring is the same.

To do it right make sure you buy a wiring adapter so you don't have to cut your factory wiring plug off. Below is a wiring picture. Not all the wires in be required to hook up because some vehicles don't use them.

Blue/White (Remote Turn on): Used if sub woofer and amp system is being installed

Orange (illumination): Not every vehicle has this .. This is used to dim the radio when the head lights get turned on its own.

Blue (Power Antenna): Only used if you have one

I have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and the interior lights are not working along with the radio (factory install) and the power mirrors aswell...what could be the issue?

Most likely sense it was installed by factory, and all these issues came up at once, they probably did the fast easy way, meaning they most likely have them all on same circuit. Some wire short, most likely my guess is the power mirrors, is where I would start with looking for issue. However, what should take car of this first is look in fuse panel, you SHOULD have separate fuse for power mirrors and radio, as well as dome lights, but it is possible, they put them all on same fuse. '96 Grand Cherokee--- The battery is drained now after 3 days of not in use. When the Jeep is off the radio staying on and the clock too. What can I do?? Alex

You can take the fuse out everytime you get out or you can have the radio installed by a professional because it sounds like whoever hooked it up hooked the yellow wire to the battery power wire which runs continuous power to your radio.

Radio & anttena will not come on with ignition.

From the factory wiring there will be a red/white wire with a constant 12v and an ignition switched 12v wire which is red/gray. Hook those to corresponding wires on the aftermarket wiring harness. You may have the constant and switched wires backwards. Also the antenna trigger wire (usually blue on aftermarket radios) should be hooked up to the green/red wire on the factory harness.

93 jeep cherokee headlights won't work parking lights, but no headlights previous owner messed with the wiring

Wiring can get complicated, however that is not a super complicated system (gets bad on the 96 and newer models) You should be able to test circuits at the switch. Be aware that if this has a "Daylite Running Lamp" system it may add some additional circuits. You're best bet is your local library for info. They should have "All Data" or something simular or possibly a Factory manual.
Good luck with that. Let me know how it works for you?

Fuse box

When in doubt, check them all (takes about ten minutes with a test light (probe back ends of fuse on each side with key on) If you have an aftermarket radio, some have an additional in-line fuse in the power wire. (you will have to trace that wire to locate it) If your power is good likely the radio is not. (fuses are under the dash on the left side)
Good luck
