Question about 1998 GMC Jimmy
Changed the engine and now the gauge lights stay on. Could it be the wiring?
Have you checked the dimmer switch ? they can be pretty temperamental especially models with the automatic headlamps

Was the engine a new or ? what year was the new one, and you have too tell witch gauges are staying on. You will have too make sure that the gauges are the right ones, then check for Pinched or broken wires. make sure that ALL sensors are connected properly and O fraud end..
