Pressure wash and clean the engine. Once clean observe engine closely while running to determine where oil leaks are located.

Trouble shooting 2009 chev.aveo gearbox leaking oil on pan gasket how do i repair the leak on the gearbox

Determine if it trans fluid(red) or engine oil. If the trans pan gasket is leaking, drain it (By slowly remove the pan) and replace it. Don't use the rubber gasket. Use cork or silicone. If oil, coming between the engine and trans. This would be a rear main seal on the engine. Trans has to be pulled to replace it.

Where is my leak coming from?

Juan, Oil could be leaking from a lot of different location, places to start looking are oil pressure switch, valve cover gasket, timing cover/crank seal, oil pan gasket, etc. Engine may have to be washed down to locate leak. Have a good tech. scan vehicle for trouble codes, diagnose why car dose not run and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Engine oil consumtion is one liter per week, what the problem

Hi Joey:
We'll need to trouble shoot this.
The oil could be:
- burning because of bad rings (lots of blue smoke from exhaust)
- burning because of bad PVC valve (lots of oil in intake system)
- Leaking from a bad seal or gasket (lots of oil on underside of engine
It never hurts to do a really good cleanup on the engine and then run it for a very short time. Then check for the ource of the leak

Oil shoots out bottom only after starting car. The plug has already been tightened.

Hi,I am Ron,It really sounds like a oil pressure switch that has gone a leaking. This can be purchased at your local auto parts store and is fairly easy to replace. The part is not to costly. This is what tells you that the oil presure is not good in the engine. It could be a oil light or a oil gauge, either one will leak,or in this case shoot out.If I can help, let me know.>>>roniecon@gmail.com
