First test the fuel pressure when it will not start. The other common problem is the (spark plug) coil module. It is located under the 3 coils and if it looks like it has melted that is your problem. These are available at auto part stores

1997 chrysler sebring. Once warm, misses while driving, also sputers on take off. I think it might be a clogged fuel filter. Where is the fuel filter located?

it is using more fuel when it is cold, than warm. so i doubt it is the fuel filter. if the flow is inadequate warm, it would be even more so cold, that just does not make sense. i would look to whatever cold operation fuel enrichment mechanism as not shutting off when it warms up, too much fuel can make it run bad. olden days it was a choke not shutting off.

i had a 90s chrylser and the fuel filter was in the fuel line, accessible from under the car, kind of underneath the back seat. you may start to look there. if it has never been changed in 13 years time to do so even if it is not causing a problem. may be info on its location over on autozone website, they have a parts locator.

Hello, The Car started stalling when I would leave a green light. It would happen about once a month. It ran pretty good the rest of the time. This week when motor warms up and I turn it off it wont start....

your fuel injectors will be leaking and flooding the motor when warm, you can have them cleaned or try pull your EGI fuse and crank it over a few times then put the fuse back in and start it up

the injectors get old and under pressure they will leak when off and just drip fuel into the motor, no joke i have seen about 20 cars with this problem

Motor stalls when driving then starts and stalls right away.

Replace the distributor's magnetic pickup located inside the distributor surrounding the distributor shaft, the only other thing thankfully on this ignition system if memory serves me on the f 150 straight six 300 cu inch is the dura spark ignition control box, of course do the obvious tune up parts replacement dist.cap rotor, plug , sparkplugs before spending the $40.00 - $50.00 bucks on the dist.. pick up, you may have a weak a fuel pump check for adequate fuel pressure at carb 7 - 10 lbs.

It sounds like your IAC,idle air control, this unit controls your idle once your choke completally shuts off.on 2.8litre it is located right side of engine just above where your fuel lines go into your manifold ( fuel rails), it's held in by 2 screws &looks like a little electric motor, it's actually a soliniod, inside is a little pinnacle that goes in and out and is controled by the computer.good luck.

My 99 suburban wont start without starting fluid

I had same problem. Engine will start if you crank it for awhile. This is because the fuel pump has a . check valve that is supposed to keep fuel from running back into tank and hold fuel at pressure so it will start immediately. If valve leaks it takes awhile for fuel to be pumped back up to injectors. Replacing fuel pump fixed my problem.
