VW window motors are known to be problematic. Lucky you had a service contract, otherwise you may have opted to replace the window motor yourself for substantially less cost.

Driver side door lock not working, how to fix it?

The door latch maybe the problem. That needs to work properly before the lock actuator will function properly.

The linkage from inner handle to latch release could be out of adjustmernt or some of the plastic clips have there threads ripped out. Do a test first. compare the amount of effort resistance felt on the good door

Driver side back window won't stay up. Got wedges in it now to keep it from going down. I can hear the window motor running so must have a gear or some such thing broke. How do I get the door cover off?

You likely have a bad window regulator(fancy name for the electric motor and the cable mechinism that moves the window up and down.

I have had to replace both rear window requlators in my 2003 GMC Envoy, Terrible engineering on the window requlator. There is a nylon wheel on the electric motor, that nylon wheel winds up the cables to raise/lower the window. The edges of the nylon wheel (drum) wear out and the cable derails. Running the window motor just makes a "rats nest" out of the cables, you will likely have to replace the whole regulator. The inside door panel is held on by screws, in door handle and then clips around the perimeter of the pannel. After you remove the inside door panel there will be a paper panel siliconed to the door frame. You will have to be very careful removing it as it tears easily. I replaced my requlators several years ago. The left and right door went out within a couple of months of each other. At that time the only place you could get the rear doors was the dealer($200- $230) . The front doors had aftermarket available. I would assume with such a poor design, there are sure to be less expensive aftermarket parts(that are likely better) available.

If you are mechanicaly inclined, should be able to replace in about 1-2 hours.

How to install a rear window regulator on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue

How do you remove door panels and replace window regulator on an Intrigue? Answer : For a 2002 Intrigue – Front Passenger I didn’t disconnect battery. You use window switch later to align window tabs to regulator frame – with ignition off power locks work, nothing is exposed.
1. Remove visible screw under armrest, pop out finger inset oval panel, remove exposed 2nd screw. 2. Pop off door handle trim – lock button assembly slide thru its hole in door panel. 3. Pop off window switch trim/holder – slide thru its hole in door panel. 4. Remove 2 slot screws under bottom of door.
5. I used a smooth metal letter opener (or old fork) to pry panel from door at each point plastic fasteners insert into metal. Start prying a little, see three on bottom perimeter two inches from edge. Three on door open edge and three on door hinge edge. Slow and easy = whole panel will pop off. A metal compression spring fastener connects at top door hinge edge trim – pry out. Be sure door lock and window switch remain inside. Clean all surfaces of door panel and lay on back seat.
6. With panel off you see clear plastic moisture sheet stuck to door with black rubbery paste - peel it from door for reattachment. You now see mechanism and fastener points. Lay out replacement window regulator and motor on mat by door to help you recognize fastening points, etc.
7. Carefully pull glass all way up and hold in place with two pieces duck tape two feet long with ¼# removal tabovers. Put a foot on outside glass and loop over door frame a foot to inside glass – with room to later redo when you twice lower and raise a foot to access bolts removing/attaching it to regulator bar.
8. Remove 3 bolts holding motor to door. 9. Remove upper 2 bolts and lower 2 bolts holding regulator frame to door.
10. Lower window to expose thru panel cutout area two bolts holding glass tabs to regulator, retape securely. Remove bolts, raise window, retape securely by looping over door frame.
11. Window regulator and motor assembly comes out as unit. Unplug window switch tab to release from motor. BEFORE reassembly clean the inside of the door, put in a little Borax for bugs, etc.
12. Reassemble by starting three motor bolts, fitting regulator assembly in door cavity. Replug window switch, motor can be placed in thru oval slots, leave all bolts loose. Replace two upper and two lower regulator bracket bolts, leave loose.
13. Turn on ignition, use window switch to lower window glass regulator tab bracket until accessible thru panel cutout. Turn off ignition, manually lower glass until tabs align with regulator bracket bolt holes and tighten these bolts. Take tape off, turn on ignition, raise window to top.
14. Tighten three motor bolts and four regulator bracket bolts, make sure alignment is OK. Remove your tape residue - clean goo from both glass sides with Goof Off. THEN raise and lower several times to assure all fits and works like new.
15. Reinstall clear plastic sheet, aligning any fastener holes and rubbing down perimeter with a cloth .
16. Align door panel, assure door lock and window switch are pulled thru. Visually align each tab on door opening side and pop them in one at a time. Continue on bottom – make sure you see them align or they will break. Finish on door hinge side and with metal fastener at top. IF you break a fastener, take one from small bag you bought from Pep boys - otherwise take bag back for refund…
17. Reinstall 2 armrest screws and 2 bottom panel screws, then pop in door lock, trim piece and window switch.
Clean the window inside and out with glass cleaner/polish/raineze so it will slide easily and your done. You can’t do anything about the motors going out. You can avoid regulator tab breaks by making sure the window is raised BEFORE closing those big doors – down is the weak moment!! I work slow and clean as I go, the job took two hours. I highly recommend partsgeek.com – saved a bundle over dealer and they shipped everything in several days – as ordered!

Replace pwer mirror driver side 2002 ford explorer

remove the door panel with out breaking the hook style plastic clips by un doing any phillip screws holding the doors pull handle, and maybe a couple of lower retainer screws, remove the power window and power lock switchs from the doors handle than pull lightly on the bottom of the door panel . if it feels loose it should pull out about 2 inches.than slide the whole door panel straight up and off the door it self. now you can unclip the power mirror wire connector and remove the mirror itself from the upper corner of the door
good luck chris

2001 oldsmobile alero window off track,

first remove the door panel there are three screws that need to be removed first 2 under the inside door handle and 1 on the lower left hand side behind a reflector then pull off the panel it will be held on by push clips, once inside move the plastic weather bearrer to the side ,run the window half way down you should see 2 window holding brackets pull the window up so you can drop it in the brackets, first get some black window adhesive fill the brackets with adhesive put window in brackets and roll it up and leave it up for 24 hrs.If the brackets are broken you will have to replace the whole window motor assemly which you can get on line for 89.00 not the 250.00 at dealer and you can install it yourself its easy to do.

Power windows/locks driver's 6 switch control

I am thinking you have broken wires in your drivers door jamb. Most of the window/lock problems I have run across on these trucks are broken wires in door jambs.

To answer your question, no, the switches are not available individually. If your mechanic finds no broken wires and still wants to replace the switches I would call to several recycled parts yards.
