The oil pump will be in the oil pan bolted to the motor. You must remove the oil pan to access it. In some vehicles you may have to loosen the motor mounts and lift the engine up a little to remove the oil pan.

Where is the oil pump relay on a 1998 Chevy S-10

Your kidding right ? The oil pump is mechanical not electric , no relay .
Full pressure lubrication, through a full-flow oil filter is supplied by a gear-type oil pump. Oil is drawn up through the oil pump screen and passes through the pump to the oil filter.

Low oil pressure where is oil pump

The oil pump is located inside the oil pan and is mounted to the engine block.
The removal of the oil pan is the only way to gain access to the oil pump.

The pump is driven by the end of the distibutor shaft which in turn is driven by the rotation of the cam shaft. There's a pickup tube that connects to the oil pump that goes to the lowest point of the oil pan, where the oil is drawn into the pump to lubircate the engine.
All of these are internal engine functions.

Hope this helps you with your question.

How do i change the oil pump on 98 chevy malibu

Are you sure it's the oil pump, Most of the time it's the oil sensor that has gone bad. Just trying to save you lot's of job since the oil pump is at the bottom of the engine in the oil pan. You can check by having the engine running and looking down the hole where the oil filler cap goes. Rev the engine up a bit and you should see oil splashing around which means your oil pump is working. Your oil pressure is created by the crank shaft. Good luck
