The fuel sender is part of the fuel pump mounted on top of the fuel tank. There might be an access ti the top of the fuel tank through a removable access panel under the rear seat. Otherwise you need to remove the fuel tank. New unit will cost a lot

Car would start just before starter change. now turns over really good but won't start. fuel pump is kicking on. Has fire with starter fluid spray.

Some problem still with fuel delivery. I suggest you have the fuel pressure checked, and if it is at specification- would be high with multi port injection, around 40 or 50 psi- then check your injector circuit.
Engine does not need to be running to check fuel pressure. Hook up gauge, turn key to on, and read the pressure.

What causes gas gauge to register incorrectly on a 2003 Buick rendezvous?

Common issue for Rendezvous is a faulty fuel sending unit, sometimes referred to as a fuel module (fuel pump, pump filter, float, sending unit, all sold together as a preassembled unit). Go to your local auto parts store. Most have a scanner/code reader that they can connect to your vehicle to download any fault codes.

How do you remove the round plastic ring that covers the fuel filter assembly on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GL? It looks like it screws off but it's stiff and doesn't want to move. Help?

those cars have the filter as part of the fuel pump inside the tank,What you are describing is the lock ring for the fuel pump module that needs removed first then the module can be removed

Hyundai 2003 Santa Fe 2.7V6 - engine turns over fine, doesn't seem to be getting fuel immediately. Eventually it starts after 5 or 6 seconds of turning over. Suspect fuel filter or fuel pump?

Initially I would agree fuel pressure had dropped off after shut down. This fuel filter is a sock screen attached to the fuel inlet tube of the fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank with the fuel pump. This screen is rarely the cause. You'll need a fuel pump pressure gauge to verify the low fuel pressure at start up. Caution, sometimes this low pressure isn't a faulty pump, sometimes it's a poor wiring connection to the pump motor. An analog amp meter can verify if there is fluctuation/ing current flow to the fuel pump. A fluctuating current flow could mean poor connections, or could mean the pump has/is gone/going bad.

My 2003 hyundai tiburon just started having troubles starting, I have to step on the gas for it to catch once its started its fine...i think its the timing belt!

Why do you think it's the timing belt? Has somebody been messing with it? First of all, if it runs fine after it starts, then it's probably NOT the timing belt. Seems to me it's fuel pressure -- it's not where it should be when you go to start it. If the pressure is leaking down overnight, then you will have a 'delay' in getting it started in the morning as the pressure has to build up to about 50 psi. You'll need a fuel pressure gauge to check this.

Looking for a place to hook my gauge!!!!!!

The fuel pressure gauge will need to tap into the fuel supply line going into your fuel rail. This is generally done by splicing the line, installing a T adapter that feeds the gauge. Several online performance parts dealers sell kits. For the oil pressure sensor you will need to tap into the oil filter flange, or sometimes on the side of the cylinder head. Typically there is a removable plug, allen key where you install the sensor. You will need to see which you have, and determine the thread size/pitch in order to determine what sensor you need. Air/Fuel is a little trickier, way more expensive and unneeded. To get a true air/fuel ratio you will need something like this which will require an additional bung to be installed on your exhaust manifold. Each of the gauges will need a fused power source, and a ground. Good luck...

Suspected Fuel Pump Failure

first, tap on the gas tank to see if it sounds empty, second, when you turn your key on you should hear the fuel pump turn on (faint whirring sound from gas tank) for a couple seconds.
