SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

2003 VW Passat, epc light, car won't start

It is possible that the timing belt broke when you stopped the car. Check to see if the cam shaft is turning . Look inside the oil filler cap and see if anything is moving as it is being cranked . If not then that will be the reason for no compression as the valves will be bent. Some general mechanics have an overall knowledge but generally lack specific knowledge for specific vehicles. An accredited VW service centre would be preferable but there are V W accredited shops that specialise in your car that generally employ V W trained mechanics so the choice is yours.

If you call the service department at the dealership they most likley will supply you with the correct settings and proscess. These bolts MUST be tightened in a military rotation starting at the center and working outward.

Spare tire impossible to drop when I had a flat. Van had to be towed and cable cut to release tire. Mechanism now needs repair. Mechanic said this is a common problem. Is Chrysler recalling this issue?

All vehicles that have a tire under the body,
have to be removed and left at home or
put in the vehicle
You can not leave then out in the weather,
to rust away the mounting holes and not be
able to get down when needed.

I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox. I am in the Air Force and just arrived in England. We have to get a full vehicle inspection and one of the things the mechanic told me was that the fuel filter needs to be...

Hi

Firstly be careful where you take the car to in the UK, I know of many garages that will try and rip you off with an american car so do question everything they say. there is no need to change the fueal pump it should be good for 100k miles.

The filter is inside the tank but not inside the fuel pump.

Hope that helps

Had the tires balanced on a regular balanced . the mechanic looked it up and said the 2002 has a problem with the front end and that the tires need to be balanced on a special balancer. and if that does...

all tyres should be "dynamically" balanced, that is, up/down (tyre bounce)and sideways,(tyre shake)front and rear(so you can rotate,if required).
personally, never heard of "special arms"for any car.....but i live in england......so maybe someone knows different?????(dont think so.......)

Why does the gear shift lever lock on a 1998 doge caravan?

the reason the gear shift locks when the vehicle is off is for A safety if you park on a hill and that no one accidently hits the shifter. B. is for a theft deterrent, that way if someone trys to force the ignition they can not put the vehicle into gear.
Now if you are talking about the shift lever locking when the vehicle is on that would be a mechanical problem in the mechanism itself. Which means the theft deterrent may have failed, the transmission could be going thus not allowing the unit to shift.
so if you mean the first when the vehicle is off dont worry about it that is normal. If it is happening when the vehicle is on (which is a common problem on this make and model vehicle) its best to take it to a mechanic or a dealership and get it worked on by a proffessional. Cause that could be serious if something were to happen.
If you require further assistance please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.

4 x 4 is not engageing. Mechanic told me that the electronics are not lining up the gears in the tranfer case? stated they were out of alinement. 500.00 to fix?

take it to another garage......no gears need electronic alignment,in any car.(mind you, i could do with $500........)there is an electromagnetic switch for the transfer box,but that is not $500 to fit.
just thought...i could fly over from england, fix it,have a holiday, and fly back, for not a lot more than $500.
