From what you described, sounds like your O/D system is having a difficult time engaging. First thing I would do is to check fluid level and condition to make sure that looks okay. Your trans fluid should be checked after your car is at operating temperature. Engine must be in park with ebrake applied. Trans dipstick tube is on the right side of the car and should have a red color coded handle. Be sure to wear eye protection because you may never know what will happen under of a hood of a running vehicle. If level looks good, then check the condition of the fluid. Should be a clear dark to light red color. If the fluid is dark brown in color, not clear and smells burnt, I would recommend getting the fluid serviced at a reputable auto shop. I would not recommend doing a complete trans flush as this could cause further trans complications. I would recommend doing a partial service where the technician drops the trans pan, replaces trans filter, clean the magnet that collects any small metal debris and replace pan gasket. You will have a few quarts left in the torque converter, but that's okay. Drive the car and see if that helps with the surge concern.

That doesn't sound like a problem, it sounds like it's shifting out of "Overdrive" due to low RPM. That would be normal. If it's more noticeable now than in the past, that's likely just wear of the parts (that's an old transmission at this point), or need transmission fluid checked/replaced. Only someone who knows transmissions can really diagnose if there is any problem, but what you are feeling is the normal downshift out of "overdrive" into the next gear, the only question is is it more noticeable now than in the past.

My blower only works on high its a caprice 95

this is often the switch is broken, all the lower speeds run through a resistance to slow the fan, on high it doesnt go through the resistor, so its likely the resister in the switch is gone.

Automatic Transmission shifting problems.

i had the same thing...It's the transmission. It's REALLY noticeable shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I was able to get my transmission fixed for 900 bux. That wasn't even a replacement so i can imagine how much it would cost to get it replaced. The shifting will get worse. By the end of my "experience" it wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd for about 5 minutes until i drove it around for a bit. THen it would "warm up" to the idea of shifting to 2nd gear.

Change the Engine speed sensor. This can sometime cause your dash to do all sorts of weird things when they fail, such as setting the low fuel warning off as well. strange but true ! good luck
