Yes, Delco, Motorcraft, Diehard are among the best in the industry, they don't have acid seep problems and last for up to twice as long as batteries from discount auto parts stores like Kragen and Autozone.

Stutters on start

Sounds as though your battery is suffering for low cold cranking amps, may need to replace it .I know you said temperature does not matter ,cold crank amps is just another way of saying amperage capacity .You may have enough to just start it but it is on it's way out.Have it checked at an automotive place like Auto Zone or Advanced or Sears if you have one close by.

Can you exchange a 450cca battery for a 500a cca battery

Yes! If the question is can I replace my 450 with a 500cca battery. The more the better. CCA means cold cranking amps so it will perform better in the cold than a 450CCA. The higher the number means you will have more cold cranking capabilities in colder weather. The voltages are the same.

What size battery is required for this car

Bigger is always better. At least 500CCA (cold cranking amps). A larger capacity battery will last longer. Measure the dimensions of your current battery to be sure the new one fits the hole. Pay close attention to the height as most batteries are close to the hood and you don't want it to short out. Most auto parts stores can get you the right physical size battery in different amperages without any difficulty. Hope this helps.

I want to install a larger battery in my 2007 HHR, for Alaska winters.. Anybody know what size battery case I can fit in there?

The battery size is a group 90 battery. Instead of going with a battery that is physically bigger, get the same group size battery with a high cold cranking amp rating. The factory rating is 600, but I am sure you can find one closer to 900 cold cranking amps. You may also consider going with a gel cell type battery like an Optima.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

What type of battery should i replace with in my 2008 honda pilot

Depend what Brand of battery you need and where you byu:
You can buy it at Honda dealer, at sears, Autozone or anywhere.
Each seller has a database:
First you have to select the brand name of the battery you want:
After select the year, make and model. For you car select 2008, Honda , Pilot
After they will ask for engine size, and in some place is your car i 4x4 or 2x4:
For example at AutoZone, for 2008, Honda Pilot 3.5L MFI SOHC
If you select the brand, Gold-Duralast Battery, this is going to be:
Part Number: 24F-DLG
Weight: 43.7 lbs
Warranty: 8 YR
Notes: *** 750 cold cranking Amps (935 cranking Amps) *** 130 reserve minutes. -> 3 year free replacement.
And will cost you:
Price:$89.99
Core: $5
Total:$94.99
*Core value is the used part that manufacturers use for rebuilding. AutoZone charges the core value to customers because manufacturers include it in their prices. When you return your core to AutoZone, we'll refund your core charge.

Will a motormaster eliminator with 875 cold cranks and 1050 amps fit my 2003 montana

Get out the measuring tape. As long as it will physically fit inside the van it will fit. Pay very close attention to height because if there are posts on top of the battery you don't want them hitting metal. That will cause a short are ruin the battery. If the height is close then use a piece of rubber or plastic to shield the top of the battery. Hope this helps.

What kind of battery can I use for my 2002 model Ford Escape? My car is a 4X4, 2.6 engin size

You sate you have the 2.6 liter engine. Is it four or six cylinders? The number of cylinders is also used to determine the correct battery amps. The following information is for the four cylinder engine...You can use any battery with at least 590 cold cranking amps, 620 cold cranking amps, or 720 cold cranking amps. The following is for the six cylinder engine...You can use any battery with at least 590 cold cranking amps, 620 cold cranking amps or 720 cold cranking amps. The auto parts store can help you decide the best battery for your vehicle.

Which battery do i jump start?

It doesnt matter. They both hook up as a 12 volt system. The cranking amps is why you have two batteries. Deisels need more cranking amps for cold starts. On a hot engine all it takes is one battery

What battery should be used in the car?

It depends on which brand of car battery you prefer. You will get a range of different opinions on which brands are the best based on experiences with different brands.
If you are happy with the Exide brand then the battery selection depends upon which engine you have fitted in the car - the 2.2 litre or 2.4 litre. Anyhow here are some Exide models that will fit your vehicle. You need an Exide 75 size/model with the correct minimum CCA (cold cranking amps)

2.4 Litre engine - Exide 75 - 600 cold cranking amps

2.2 litre engine - Exide 75 - 525 cold cranking amps

Any large battery retailer will be able to help you select a battery suitabe for your car but many specialise in particular brands. Personally I prefer to select a heavy duty battery that is suitable for the vehicle and will offer more than the minimum required cranking amps.
