Your speed sensor is always placed on the gear-box...u may have two or three looms going out of the-box, the other one is for your reverse lights (and oil if u have the third one)

I had a 2001 and the transmission was not shifting correctly that was diagnosed as a speed sensor issue.
There is a speed sensor on the transmission, near the rear.
And there is a speed sensor on one of the front wheel hubs...
Tell me what the problem is?

Depends on which one you have- there are typically 2 types, one mounted on tailshaft of transmission and most likely the one you have, one mounted on the rear end. Replacement is rather easy on both. 1 10mm head bolt and it pulls out. Be sure the new one has an O ring so that it will seal. The one on the rear end is on top of the rearend towards the front of the rear end housing.
