Hi. Just got 2012 Camry. There are blinking blue lights behind the mirror. OK to leave them like that? It is night time now. Thank you. Concerned.

Indicator LED's can run for a very long time. It will not kill a battery that's in good shape for weeks. During long term storage, it's recommended the battery is disconnected. If these are the courtesy lights in the side mirrors, the lights will turn off on their own.

Where is the cylinder identification sensor on a 89 3.8 litre v6 ford?

Unfortunately you need to specify which model you have. The sensor should be on the camshaft . This link will help you understand the system: http://rockledge.home.comcast.net/~rockledge/RangerPictureGallery/DIS_EDIS.htm

D4 light on 94 accord blinking

It will blink a set number of times to tell you what diagnostic trouble code it has. I would first check the fluid to make sure it is still red in color and not too low just to make sure that your not doing any damage to the transmission by driving it. Then you can get a cheap repair manual like a "Haynes" manual from any auto parts store.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

Where do I find the wires that I apprently need to cross to get the check engine light to flash in order to get the codes?

Remove the kick panel just beside the left foot rest on the driver's side.
2) Locate blue wires.
3) Locate black connector. Hold it notch up.
4) With ignition off, insert one of the wires into top row, 2nd pin from left.
5) Turn key to on position, but do not start the car.
6) Watch blinky check engine light on dashboard. Count blinks. Long blinks = 10, Short blinks = 1.
7) Keep watching blinky light until you get mesmorized.

To clear codes (after problem has been resolved):
1) With engine off, stick the blue wires to 1st and 2nd pin in the top row counting from left on the

black connector, with notch facing up.
2) Start car. Shut off car. Remove pins.
3) Read codes to make sure they are clear. No codes = steady blinks at 1/4 second intervals. yhis is for the 94, 92 should be the same. have a good day !!

Hello my mustang is sputtering badly, idles at between 900 and 1000 rpm. has a bad exhaust smell and acts like it wants to stall alot. the oem codes it gave were po303 and po316. what does this mean and...

303= cylinder #3 misfire the 316 is just another code for misfire detected during start up:
I would say buy a new plugs and wires, this will correct the problem, Tim

  • Faulty spark plug or wire
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Running out of fuel
  • Poor compression
  • Defective computer

Blue temp light blinks

The blue temperature light will blink until the car is up to operating temperature. This is VWs way of telling you to take it easy until the light goes out. If the light stays on all the time you need to have the engine temperature checked to insure that the car is operating in the proper temperature range and if it is then you must check the sensor for the low temp warning system. It may be malfunctioning.

The check engine light is on and the door lock on the drivers side wont go up or down is this a security code key problem when i bought the car it didnt come with a key for the door

These cars don not have special keys. The door lick problem shouldn't be related to the check engine light. You can diagnose the car by removing the passengers side kick panel in the lower right area (it meets the carpet and your door sill). After you snap that off you'll see a small blue plug. Stuff some tin foil in there to make those two terminals connect, or put a paper clip in there, they have to touch. Do this with the car off. After the connection is made on the blue plug, turn your key on to power up (not far enough to start it though). Then count the series of blinks that the check engine light puts off. A long blink is the first number. Ex: 2 long blinks followed by 4 short blinks would be code# 24... Once you get your code, search online for the answer or simply write me back. Good luck, don't be afraid, it's easy.

It's probably your anti-theft device. Most of the time, they emit a blinking blue LED.
