You turn the key and it wants to start but it doesnt Could it be the coil? 1995 honda oddessy

sound like problem could be clutch start switch.or your new engine need to be reprogrammed to the ignition switch immobilizer module and ecm.

ABS failures are common in the Honda Accord and the Honda Odyssey, especially during the 1995-1997 years. You will find that your ABS light will come on intermittently and then go out. try bleeding the ABS brake pump and check. You must bleed the abs pump, then reset the abs computer by removing the ABSB2 fuse.--------------

could be the coil in the distributor test for spark ( pull a plug ground it while someone trys to start the car. it should spark, if it doesnt replace coil.with known good.

check battery
check fuses & wiring to starter
check power at starter main (big red wire)
check for power at starter solenoid (small) wire when key turned start position
if all above are good, try whacking starter body with a hammer lightly while trying to start, don't run yourself over if it does!
replace starter if all electrical good

if all electrical fail test/inspection, ei; no power to starter on small wire, yet big wire hot, check for bad ignition switch

Remove the wire plug and the two bolts and it comes off reverse the procedure.

First you must check to see what missing. You must have spark at the pugs and gas at the injector for this car to start. See whats missing and get back to me. The 1995 Honda Accord has a history of bad distributor. If there is no spark at the spark plugs replace distributor. However on some models the coil is separate and not in the distributor, if so make sure the coil is working.

Explain "fire to it"

hmmm u should check the wires going to the coil to see if there is power, if so its mostlikey the coil, and if the coil seems fine you gotta track father back, do u know about the prelude board? http://www.preludeonline.com/ they probably know something about your issue, sorry for the long responce time, was out on my summer vaction !!
