my husband locked it by leaning on the steering wheel and my mechcanic could not loosen the steering wheel. This car has more problems than just finding a strong man to put some strength in loosening the steering column.

The problems are NOT best guess is you lack the upper body strength to pull right or left on the wheel with the key in the ignition to unlock the wheel...find a nice young man to help...On the alarm, go to your local car stereo installation shop and ask them to diagnose the system...if they do it free (sometimes) buy them lunch...what $10?

The easiest way to disconnect it is to remove the fuse for security system. You can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to take out.

I have a 1998 pontiac grand prix gtp with the 3800 in it it has a stuck alarm it was shut off 4 years ago becouse its door locks where drilled by a thief and becouse of that the alarm wouldent work right...

It all depends on what type of alarm you have installed on your Gran Prix. Make of alarm and fcc id number of the key fob would be helpful in determining how to put your alarm in valet mode, and still allow remote door unlocking, with alarm off.

I have a 2003 pontiac grand am and am wondering if there is anything i can do about my steering wheel lock?! I know the jiggling the wheel and turning the key works but i hate that! Im a rather small girl...

Unfortunately no, there is no way to remove the steering lock. When you park your car, before you shut it off, spin the steering wheel from side to side, and center it before you shut the ignition off, this will help.

1996 pontiac grand am steering wheel is locked

Probably not. That's just the interlock between the ignition switch and the steering. **** the steering wheel very hard to one side or the other as you turn the key. It's more common than you might think and all car are guilty of it.

Trouble with alarm of Pontiac Grand Prix SE

I will assume your alarm system is factory installed, which makes it a passive system. This being said there has to be a "valet" switch for the alarm system. it will be one of two places, first check the obvious and look at the dash panel under the steering wheel, there might be a pushbutton kill switch there, or a rocker switch of sorts. If no luck there, the blinking status light that is on your dashboard might be the switch itself. Try "GENTLY" pushing it in. if it does push, the red light will start to double blink, this is normal. If neither of these solve it, call yoru local dealer and ask them where the switch is. Good Luck
