check whether your temperature sensor is not working and as it is not doesn't send message to the ECU correctly and is sending that the engine is working cold start and the ECU allows the Injection system to spray rich fuel as it needs for cold start. Check this out

Check injection is a fault used to cover lots of things on the fueling side of the car..You will need to have the fault codes read to determine the problem.

2006 BMW X5. got oil service yesterday and new battery. Drove all morning today and then on the motorway, battery light comes on with fuel injection message and car loses all power. after 3 attempts it...


was this problem there before replacing battery? if not a loose connection at battery or in battery compartment the code is a temporary code and when connection severs the code is cleared check the time after starting till problem occures and see if there is a pattern to how long it takes

That's s failure of the secondary air pump. It'll have to be changed. It's an emissions component meant to help with cold start emissions. It won't cause engine running trouble but at inspection time you'll fail for smog. Change it before then and you'll be fine.

Two reasons for this ...
1. the fuel pump is over pumping
2. one of the jets in the Multi Point Fuel injection system is jammed and constantly pumping gas into the cylinder.
Get a good injection cleaner fuel addative... this will solve your problem... though it will take a few days of driving before the RPM settles down below 1K RPM.

I had same Problem with 03 Megane about 6 weeks ago
and the fault on mine was the one of the Coils had gone.
got replaced £270.00 later working fine....

just happened again with same message Check Injection.
RAC told me injection has gone, so now yet again back in the garage.. How i wish i never brought a Megane
