Question about 1999 Isuzu Rodeo

2 Answers

How in the hell do you remove the spark plugs on a 1999 isuzu rodeo 4cyl 2.3l??? I have removed the wires, but I can't remove the housing over the plug. It seems that it is connected or pushes against part of the fuel injector? I can't believe I am the only person having this issue.

2.2L 4 cyl, sorry this is my first foreign 4 cyl and I am not impressed so far. I read a post earlier where they talked about plugs being under a plastic cover on top of the engine, though I have not got to it yet, as its a star socket and I need to go out and pick up a set. checking the autozone web right now.

I would need engine size to be able to tell you. You can view a full free online repair manual for your rodeo at autozone.com

I would like to know how to change the spark plugs on the 1999 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 liter

unplug the connectors for the ignition coil packs, then unbolt coil packs, remove coil packs (all 6 are interchangable) then remove and replace spark plugs. There is a row of three coil packs behind the oil fill cap on the valve cover and three on the other side.

The right headlight and right taillight are both out on my 1999 isuzu rodeo. Can changing the fuses help?

No if the bulbs are out, then you have to change the bulb just like you would in a lamp in your house. Take it to your local autozone and they can help you get the right bulb for your car

How do you replace the starter on a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4cyl 2WD?

Remove the battery earth cable. Engage parking brake and chock the wheels. The starter is on the lower rear left hand side of the engine. Remove the starter supply cable by undoing the 13mm nut on the rear of the solenoid. Unclip the start wire on the side of the solenoid by squeezing and then pulling the connector plug. Undo the mounting bolt on the top of the starter first. and remove. Then the bottom one. Doing it this way round will make it easier to undo the bolts by hand once loosened.
Pull the starter to the front of the car and remove.

Replaced starter when battery was connected it started sparking and smoking.

Sounds like he may have pinched a wire or hooked it up backwards or has the power wire touching the starter housing.

1999 isuzu 3.2 misfire

This could be a problem with the spark plug wires. If resistance is high or the boots have carbon tracks, they could be causing spark to go places it shouldn't. Distributor cap?
Make sure places like that are clean and dry. Check for grease or dirt inside spark plug boots. If all else fails, open the hood in the dark and look for sparks jumping around the engine when you rev it up. If so, replace the plug wires.
