There are cycle sensors on the low and high pressure side of the A/C. They will keep the A/C pump from getting any current if pressure is to low. You can jump the sensors to see if the pump will come on. If it does come on you might have to charge the system or need a sensor. You need to recover the freon to change the sensors. A certified A/C mech. Needs to do it.

Testimonial: "The system has a wire going directly to the compressor. All you have to do is access the hot wire and go directly to the battery to get the clutche to activate. Strip the wire in the loom next to the alternator for this. Use a wire with a alligator clip for this temporary use. The clutche will activate and allow you to fill the system. Once this is done, load R-134 into the sytem, 1 or 2 cans should suffice. Once loaded, tape the stripped wire carefully and re-install it into the wire loom for future use. This may be needed anytime the system is low on freon. Have the syste checked about every three years to ensure that the compressor has enough oil. This should solve the problem."

Where are the fusible links on a 95 Rodeo

The fusible links are in the fuse box located under the hood behind the battery. Pop the cover. They are little square plastic boxes with clear covers on top. They are right behind the row of fuses, in that under hood fuse box. Pull each one and check them with a test light or ohm meter. Hope this helps. I have the book if you need more info....Gar-cuda

Air conditioner was blowing out cold air fine until my battery went dead,,once it was turned back on the ar only blows out hot

The A/C compressor only works when the engine is running.jiggle the wire on the compressor to make sure it's not loose or broken. The compressor clutch has to engaged for it to pump. There's about a 30 amp A/C fuse in your fuse box (under hood). Check it, if there's no power to the compressor.

My AC is not blowing cool air. Compressor clutch is not getting engaged. AC button is showing green light indicator though. I am suspecting clutch relay problem. where is air conditioning clutch relay in...

First of all check the freon pressure, if the pressure is low the compressor clutch will not turn on. The pressure should be between 30-40 PSI.

I need a 1988 honda prelude under hood fuse diaphagram

The closest I got to a diagram was this, but it doesn't have the legend for each maxi fuse under the hood: REPLACEMENT
  1. Remove the fuse and relay box cover.
  2. Inspect the fusible links to determine which is faulty.
  3. Unplug and discard the fusible link. Fig. 1: The engine compartment relay box contains the maxi-fuses 93136p69.jpg

  4. Inspect the box terminals and clean if corroded. If any terminals are damaged, replace the terminals.
  5. Plug in a new fusible link of the same amperage rating. WARNING
Never exceed the amperage rating of a blown maxi-fuse. If the replacement fuse also blows, check for a problem in the circuit(s).
  6. Check for proper operation of the affected circuit(s).

2000 chevy truck 5.3 liter. air conditioner works 10-15 min then stops. clutch and clutch pressure switch good, freon level good, batt and alternator good??

After the clutch disengages ( when it's not suppose to )check the voltage on the + output terminal on the clutch relay, (inside the fuse box under the hood) if you have voltage there, check the voltage at the clutch, if you have voltage there too, its the clutch. The clutch gets worn and will engage when cool, but fails after heat builds up. Check this by tapping the face of the clutch with the ac on, if it's simply a worn clutch it will likely engage for a while.

The fan is protected by a fusible link. Follow the power wire from the fan backward until you find the fusible link. It will feel mushy if it is blown.

Can't find fuse box on 2004 ford explorer.....

It would either be under dash or on side of kick panel, or behind or under glove box. Also under hood in black box on firewall.

If you find the fuse and it is good, than I would check the fusible link that runs off battery and heads to ignition system. The little black fuse inside fusible link can blow while jumping or connecting battery cables backwards.

the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a 20 Amp (yellow fuse) in position #32. You can check the lid of the fuse box under the hood for a diagram to show the positions.
