Question about Saturn SL
My 1999 Saturn SL has a plastic mudguard underneath which restricts easy access to the radiator drain plug and engine drain plug. Is there an uncomplicated way to remove it (with possibility for replacement later) to simplify maintenance? As is, I can barely turn the radiator drain plug through the tiny access port on the mudguard.
It is secured in all four corners by self-destructing plastic mushroom fasteners. Once you remove them, they will not go back in right. The best thing to do to replace them is go to your favorite local auto parts store and get some bolts with speed clips. Put the clips in or around the holes the mushrooms went in, put the bolts through the holes in the air dam/splashguard. Or, just don't replace it.

If there is one, look at the lower part of the radiator on left side as you face the vehicle. Out of all the vehicle I own only 1 has a drain valve on it and most of the time it is clogged from road splash and dust. You can remove the lower radiator hose either from the Radiator or the engine to drain the radiator.

Testimonial: "thank you very much i w look at the problem friday"
Best case scenario: Your battery is dead or almost dead.Worst case: The engine has seized and you have to replace it. Do the dash and interior lights stay on or turn out when you try to start the car?
