Question about GMC Jimmy
My drivers side wiper blade doesn't work, the connector just spins as if there's not a good connection. Also the passenger side wiper rarely works.
I believe your diagnosis is correct, the wiper assembly is spinning, and not making a good connection with the wiper arm socket. The wiper arm socket has grooves in it that match up with grooves on the wiper assembly. If the grooves on the wiper arm are worn down, then the assembly can't 'grab' the wiper arm socket. Take off the wiper arm to inspect the socket. There is probably a retainer clip holding the arm in place. You may get some help from Advance Auto or Auto Zone.

SOURCE: Wiper arm not moving
Check the splines on the post where the wiper are mounts and make sure they are not rounded off. If they are intatct, remove the cowl (sheetmetal between the hood and windshield) and check the mechanical linkages that connect the wiper arms together

the wiper arm assembly is stripped for the knurled knob that is sits on. replace the wiper arm with a new one.
