Battery keeps dying

Yr is 98. It will die overnight or after 12 hrs of sitting. Have taken it to orileys and they have tested battery and altenator, everything comes back good. Just replaced altenator and voltage regulator. Nothing is on in the truck so what else could this be?

Well if the battery is good when you leave it it must have a voltage draw you have to take off one of the leads off the battery and put a inline amp meter to see how much draw..then you use an amp meter a light or buzzer and you pull fuses till the amps go down the light goes out or the buzzer stops depending on what you used.. then you go from there ..your going to need a schematic of the electrical system to see exactly what is off that fuse...or leave it out if you can live without it..interior lights ect

My 98 expedition battery keeps dying and we have replaced altenator and voltage regulator. Battery has test good. What else could it be?

It could be many things, like a faulty ignition switch, a burned circuit on your dash panel board, any kind of a slow drain (poor ground) in the wiring, but I'd go with the ignition switch if it was me.

Did you test the alternator? Just because it is new doesn't mean it's good.

Saab 93 1.9 tid warning battery not charging car died whilst driving charged battery at home car now starting lights all out is this battery prob or alternator?

The easiest way to check is with the car running, disconnect the positve side of the battery, if the car dies, then it is the altenator, if the car keeps running then it is the battery. If you have a volt ohm meter, check the chrge going to the battery you should get between 12 and 14 volts if it is lower than 12 you have an altenator issue. the altenator should always produce enough to charge the battery and run the car at the same time, if not then the battery wears down.

Replace the altenator. It has gone bad and every thing is running on the battery.

2009 Jeep Liberty battery keeps dying!

Check and verify that your alternator is charging properly, if you hook a multimeter up to your battery you should see a voltage between 13-14 volts on the charging side, if this is the case your alternator is good, next i would check the resting voltage of your battery that should be tested with the car off and it should be between 12-12.5 volts, if all of this checks out i would start looking into the parasitic draw on your battery while your vehical sits overnight, make sure all your courtesy lights are going off, your glove compartment light any under hood lights things like that if any lights like this are remaining on you will have a dead battery day after day because the light or draw on the battery keeps draining it of its charge....

will try to help. if your engine isn't getting a full 12 volt charge to your battery it will do crazy stuff, like the guages rolling all the way around and different lights will come on. i suggest you have the battery checked, also check your altenator. if you're near an autozone or advance auto parts store, they will check both altenator and battery for free.after your car dies, you let it sit for say,2hours and then it starts, battteries will sometimes build their charge up own their own, but usually only enough to drive for very short distances. that should explain your next question, why does it restart after it sits for awhile? hope this helps and as always thank you for choosing fixya.com

sounds like the belt is loose. if it has a tensioner check and or replace it, if not tighten the belt. or the alternator tests ok but is actually not working at low rpm. or the battery is shorted. electricity is tricky
