!st question can you engage any gear at all? I f not check auto fluid condition and level. if vehicl doesnt drive can take long time to get auto fluid up to operating temperature to get level correct. If fluid colour is dark and not pink/red then maybe trans requires servicing with a chang of internal filter. Other possibility is internal pressure issues, might require trans specialist help on that. Good luck.

SOURCE: 1990 Toyota Camry transmission won't go into any gear

you didn't make clear you have a automatic trasmission or manual?
if is a manual trasmission you have to look the clutch and to valves that is puting the trasmision oil pressure to move the clutch one at the end near the gear box and the second after the clutch pedal outside of the cabin imediatley after the pedal. you have to look to the oil level in the rezervoir, if you dont have the problem to bay some oil and to change completely the oil first maybe the right solution to begin with oil change first , may be is freeze from the dirties finded in the oil pipes and valves.
if you have the automatic trasmission sorry i dont know, because the problems there are more complex.

SOURCE: 1991 toyota camry automatic. Transmission is fine

sounds like you may not even have a 4th gear. worst thing is you may need a new transmission. try putting in some "Lucas Transmission Fix" it's like $12 at Autozone.. If that doesn't help, take it to a transmission shop and have them check inside your transmission to see if you need a new transmission or if it's something that could be fixed. It may even be a sensor.

1989 Toyota Camry automatic transmission starting off on high gear.Stalls on drive like pulling heavy loads.

It is quite likely to be a failed shift solenoid, causing inability to find low gears. There should be a trouble code stored, causing the O/D lamp to blink.

My 94 camry wont go into gear its an automatic

Try listening for a clicking around the shifter area. You should hear it when you hit the brake pedal. If not you need to check for a signal coming from the brake pedal switch.

A 94 toyota camry le 2 door v6 transmission drive gears not workin but park and reversole do

There are really only 2 possibilities which are within your reach

- low trans fluid level, check that with engine idling
- poorly adjusted shift linkage, see p69 here

If anything else has failed, like a shift solenoid, it's really a job for a specialist.

94 toyota camry has low idle and stalls when in reverse

Idle adjustment should be @600 to 700 RPM with the car in gear and emergency brake on if the car is an automatic trans. Adjust idle accordingly. If a standard the idle should be @ 650 RPM at idle.

I need to locate the filler cap on my 94 toyota camry 4 cylinder automatic

Your transmission is filled though the dip stick tube. You will need a very small funnel and pour slow or it will backup. And don't add too much, it doen't hold very much.
