It can be a number of problems would need more info but well go with the most common need to check fuel pressure if low poss cause fuel filter clogging or fuel pump inline clogging the fuel filter is usually the problem with most stall loss of power ---if good while running check the exhaust if it feels like is choking out or low than possible cat converter clogging ---if good than check throttle body my be clogging ir need repair ---if good check egr valve my need cleaning or replacement the egr valve gets clogged with carbon also check or replace air filter these are the few most common problems that can cause a performance problem

SOURCE: 1994 Topaz engine stalling
Normally this kind of a problem is a fuel block...there so many other ways to block...other than the filter

SOURCE: no acceleration at high RPM's
It's probally the fuel cutoff.If it's in Park Or Nuetral this is a normal condition to protect the engine from overevving.If it doesn't do it in gear that's what it most likely is.hope this helps

Most likely it is running too ritch. should be around 7%. Mine did ecactly the same thing and I had several things done . Had the throttle body cleaned and installed a O2 senser.runs great now.

sounds like you have some bad injectors. if your smelling fuel it sound like one of them are stuck open. that would cause it to run rough. i think the injectors are like 35 each i would put them in and run a fuel system cleaner and put a new fuel filter when you do all that.. if you do it yourself it should run you about 180 to 200. Its not that hard to do. If a shop was to do it it could cost up to 500
