Question about Chevrolet Tracker
Chevrolet Tracker 2001, about better fuel economy. Tailpipe is always pitch black, seems to me it runs way to rich on fuel. How to fix it so there is no deposits anymore, thank you for you friendly help.
Make sure there is no obstruction going to the air cleaner and it has a new air filter .. it sounds like its getting choked somewhere.

the ......fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail near the rear of the intake manifold it is round in shap. i would first check to see if you have a problem with your O2 sensors. also i would have the TPS sensor checked. the TPS is what controls your idle. it is located on the throttle body is black in color and has a weatherproof plug to it. please rate this.........thanks

you may have two oxugen sensors on your yukon. if so the oxygen sensor that controls that bank may be bad. from what you mentioned in your complaint, it sounds like it is the oxygen sensor.

if it dont have good compression it will not start check the comp and make sure there no water in oil if fuel pressure is low it will not pop the injector open try some starting fluid

you cant adjust fuel on the ford governor its fixed.you can adjust fuel on cummins governor.have your governor injection timing check .make sure air filter not stopped up or restricted.it will cause it to run rich.

Check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and check to see if the fuel pressure regulator has gone bad. Give the throttle body a good cleaning and the injectors too. Do not use carb cleaner, it's to corrosive for the gaskets used in the throttle body. The other thing too that would cause this is a stuck or bad EGR valve, Try cleaning the EGR valve too since your cleaning the throttle body. Good luck and keep me posted.
