Question about Dodge Dakota
I chang oil in my truck about 3 moth ago an I have been drive it so I pull the oil filter oof but their wasn't no oil in it
I think I already answered this once, but if your filter is installed such that the open end is pointed towards the sky, it should have some oil in it when removed. Conversely, it the open end points down the oil will drain out of it while it sits, particularly if you use cheap oil filters which may not have a anti-drain back valve. Do you have an oil pressure gauge on your dash? If you are concerned that the engine may not have proper oil pressure, you could buy or borrow a cheap mechanical oil pressure gauge and test the engine in that way.

SOURCE: 1998 s10 oil leak
well it wont be the oil pan seal then cause they never leaked that much. I would go back and look at the filter he put on. could be just a problem with it. for the cost of one put another one on and make sure the gasket surfacce is clean down to the metal engine block.
