If its at front end of wheel wind it out if behind wheel wind it in but get it checked at a service centre as cannot make a definite adjustment just by eye but will get it near enough to drive to get it checked before driving day to day

Make sure the tire pressures are at the recommended pressure. Check for worn steering/suspension components particularly the front/rear stabilizer links as one or more may be broken.Has the alignment ever been checked rot proper angles?

Replaced sway bar, backend is still swaying, when I hit a bump the backend moves like ots fish tailing

Could deff. be the rear struts on this car but could also be that the alignment in the rear is way off causing the wheel that is supporting the most load when hitting a bump or pot hole to pull the car in the desired direction that that whell is angled toward. But if you are leaning towards replacing the rear struts do that first since it also requires a 4 wheel alignment then all the bases are covered. Otherwise if you try the alignment and that isn't it you will have to pay for a second alignment after the struts are replaced.

The driver side tire is sitting visibly farther back from the passenger side, it has a very hard left hand pull when brakes applied, but wheels turn freely in neutral when raised off ground. recently...

Check the control arm, and the control arm bushings on the left side. Sounds like something is broken, loose, or totally worn out. Use a sturdy pry bar to try to force it in different directions front and back, any play will become apparent.

When going round a sweeping right hand bend the back end tries to swing out.also on uneven roads thre is excesive bounce and roll.

You didn't say what model and year the vehicle is. Check the rear sway bar end links. They connect the two rear wheels together and act to push the wheel down towards the ground in a turn. If either of the links are broken, then the whole system is compromised.

Auto parts place says I need the rear sway bar replaced - is this the same as the links and bushings? It's a bar in the middle of the car that leads to both wheels in the rear. If it does need to be...

yes, unless the bar is broken. Are the links broken? Just replace whatever is broken or worn out. Usually the bushings under the holddown clamps and the links and/or link bushings.

Suspension?

have the sway bar looked at in the back. if it is loose or broken it will sway. it is the bar connecting the two rear wheels. there are upgrade kits that offer a heavier bar. Also check rear tire pressure. the tires will roll out if too low a pressure is aboard.

When driving car swaying on the rear axle for lancia kappa 2.0

Replace the rear sway bar links or the sway bar bushings. Either or will cause a sway in the rear. If it is one side of the rear is off set . Car going down the road at an angle. Align the back of it...then realign the front.
