Yes this is a little confusing!! It is set from the Nav window. Depress Nav and scroll down to clock.

Depress clock and you can daylight savings option or set clock

How do I set the clock in my 2006 cadillac cts?


In order to set the clock, you must go to the menu-main on your display where the radio is, go to setup, scroll to clock, and follow the prompts to set time. Once you've set it, click ok or done, and your display will adjust to the time you've set.

There is 2 different radios. With or without rds. Here are the instructions for both.
Setting the Time for Radios with Radio Data Systems (RDS) To set the hour, press the clock button. The clock symbol displays and the hour flashes. Turn the ADJ (adjust) knob to increase or to decrease the hours. To set the minutes, press the clock button again. The minutes. Turn the ADJ knob to increase or to decrease the minutes. The time can be set with the ignition on or off.
To synchronize the time with an FM station broadcasting Radio Data System (RDS) information, press and hold the clock button to enter the clock set mode, then press and hold the clock button for three seconds until UPDATED displays. If the time is not available from the station, NO UPDATE displays.
RDS time is broadcast once a minute. After tuning to an RDS broadcast station, it can take a few minutes for the time to update.
Setting the Time for Radios without Radio Data Systems (RDS) To set the hour, press the clock button. The clock symbol displays and the hour flashes. Turn the ADJ (adjust) knob to increase or to decrease the hours. To set the minutes, press the clock button again. The minutes flash. Turn the ADJ knob to increase or to decrease the minutes. How to set engine timing


the timing marks are on the crankshaft pulley. slightly loosen the distributor and use a stroboscopic timing light to pulse the correct setting...adjust distributor anti clockwise or clockwise to set. I f you are still running contact breakers please ensure these are set before doing timing.

with the ignition on but the radio off. Click the top left button on the remote stalk to activate, +/- to adjust then the left button for changinging minutes. click the left button to set!!

Set the timing of the timing marks on the pulley. Set to factory and the cpu will adjust to the correct setting for engine rpm. Cams still run in the middle of the engine stroke . They only alter the timing that the valves open and close periods. Headers only allow the easier passage of the gasses

sounds like you arnt tightening everything properly as when timing is set it shouldnt move
