Sand your headlights down with 400 grit wet or dry paper and then use a clear coat spray to make them new again.. I do this all the time and works good..

I have put new headlight globes into my vp commodore the low beam is very dimmed and I haven't got high beam?

Are the new globes quality ones? Some of the cheaper ones can really let ya down. Also if you have a multimeter handy its a good idea to check the voltage on your globe plugs that could indicate a problem with your electrical system. Also check your fusebox and see if the high beam/headlight fuse is blown. Hope that helps ya

My car headlights are still work but I do not know why it does not have enough 12 volt

Do you mean the voltage is down below 12V? Your headlights may be dim because

- globes are failing, causing a dark film to form inside the glass. Replace them with good name brand globes

- corroded contacts in the globe mounting. Pull the contact housing off and on a few times to scrap the contacts

- low voltage at the contacts. Remove a contact housing, start the engine, turn on the lights, and measure the voltage available at the contacts. It should be 12V or at higher. If not, the battery charging circuit and alternator require inspection.

- poor grounding at the headlight. The bulb circuit may be grounded by a return wire or through the bulb mounting direct to the chassis. Measure the electrical resistance between the metal flange where the bulb sits and the metal chassis. It should be low, about 0.1 - 0.3 ohm

- tarnished headlight reflector, or clouded outer lens. Autozone and similar places sell kits which claim to allow restoration of these. Expect limited success I think

Any problems changing 55 low beam/65 high beam to xenon 90 watt low beam/100 watt high beam

Check the size of the cables coming to your headlight. A higher lamp wattage would require more amperes for the wires to carry.

Replace park bulb.vt commodore

To replace the front parklight globe on a vt commodore can be a little tricky.

1.turn the lights on to see which 1 is inoperative once you know turn lights off.
2.open bonnet
3.go to side that is inoperative and on the back of the headlight you will see a round large plastic cover turn this to release it.
4.under the headlight globe there will be 2 wires flow these to the park globe socket gently twist and pull it out.
5.once the sockets out and you can see the globe ,pull the globe out of socket.
6.push new globe into socket
7.refit the socket in headlight
8.refit all trims
9.turn lights on make sure new globe is work..

Hyundai lantra headlights

It could be that the wires couldn't be making the connection, try switching them from low beam to high beam and see if there's a difference

Changing headlight bulbs on mitsubishi 380

You either have hands the size of an 8 year old child or you have never done this yourself. There is no way to access the connector and manipulate the connector release tabs to remove the globe on the drivers side with the assembly in place, with all the plumbing and water bottle in place. You have to remove the whole front bumper and associated guards etc etc just to replace a globe. Very poor design.

The drivers side headlight on my 2002 Saab won't

This is probably a problem with the orange headlight relay under the hood in the relay black box. Take the relay out and clean contacts and put back in. If does not fix, try a new relay or swap with another 9-5 to troubleshoot.

Right side headlight is dim.

Make sure the connections are good. Clean the contacts of the plugs.
Make sure that the earth connection is also in good condition. Get a cheap volt meter and make sure there is minimal voltage drop at the connectors compared to the voltage at the battery. (compare it to the good side)

I suppose you could swap the left and right globes temporarily to see if that is the problem. If the problem changes sides then you should replace the globe.

Just some ideas. Hope it helps
