Tahoe not getting fire to plugs, when I try to crank it there is an odor of gas and no start! Crank sensor,evap purge valve solenoid, fuel pump and knock sensors have all been replaced.

Things to check:
  1. Timing chain or timing belt (depending on which engine you have);
  2. Coil pack or ignition coil (depending on which engine and year);
  3. Rotor and distributor cap (if your Tahoe is an earlier model);
  4. ECU (especially if you jump-started the car before the issue began);

2007 tahoe cranks after letting go of key

Newer model GM vehicles will crank until they start. After the initial turn of the key it will crank for several seconds until the vehicle starts. Then, once the engine is running, the starting circuit is disabled, preventing accidental starter contact with the flywheel.

1996 chevy tahoe 4wd LT 4Door 5.7L Vortec. Truck will not start, the starter grinds VERY loudly. Replaced starter several times, battery is good, replaced crank position sensor. Possible pre ignition? ...

i suggest removing the flywheel inspection cover, and rolling the engine over a little bit at a time, checking to make sure that there are no worn or broken teeth. also, make sure there is no lateral movement, which could indicate a broken flexplate. good luck.

I have 1998 Maxima, won't crank or start. Battery was replaced. Where is starter located or any other option?

Check crank sensors first.There are two sensors 1 is by the crankshaft pully (by the drive belts) the other is between the engine and transmission it reads from the flywheel . Good luck.

Have a fuel pressure gauge hooked to it and see if you are holding good fuel pressure. Even new fuel pumps are bad right out of the box. This will eliminate a fuel problem.
