Get it checked to see why the light is on. Regardless of miles, the engine light can come on.

Purchased focus sport 2006 model no service manual. Mileage 43,000 kms. Need to know service intervals either time/mileage perhaps a copy of the service schedule will suffice.

These maintenance intervals come from the maintenance interval calculator
at www.autozone.com, using a starting point of 25,800 miles (43000 km), and
assuming 1000 miles (1666 km) driven per month, and "severe driving conditions," which
are actually normal usage characteristics, such as frequent short trips, urban driving, waiting in traffic, driving in hot weather, trips under 16 km in cold weather, etc.

I am considering purchasing as 2005 Honda Odysse with only 38K miles but, I saw a engine light that looks like a wrench that was on what does that mean?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. That light is a maintenance light, just a general warning for a oil change. 38 thousand miles on a vehicle is not that bad. You still want to inspect the vehicle before you purchase it. Scan the engine and make sure that there are no oil leaks. If it is leaking oil at 38K miles, you don't want it. Make sure you inspect all wires in the engine as well. Check under the car and make sure there are no fluids leaking. Go ahead and check the coolant level, oil level, and transmission level. Make sure there are no fuses that may have blew. Check gas guage, speed guage, wipers, hazards, signals, brake lights, tire pressure, vehicle balance, Check everything you can. They are good vehicles and I hope you enjoy it. Best wishes and thanks for choosing FixYa.

We where parked outside an mall and we started up our Honda Pilot 2004 then the car started shaking like if a pipe or a tube was clogged. Then when we started to move The VTM-4 light turned on red aswell...

you may have purchased some bad fuel only. it happens alot. pay attention to the fuel that you purchase as hondas are known for rejection of ethynol based fuel. or you bought bad gas that had water in it. be loyal to the place that you purchase your fuel! if it sounds to good to be true, well you know. the best fuel is 93 octane at the place that you can trust to sell 93octane right? i can't recommend a certain buisness, but oil spills are never good. good luck and thank you for choosing fixya.com.

Was told gas cap problem, replaced it, 100 miles later check engine light still wont go out.

Depending on how many mile you have but a lot of time the check engine light comes on so you will take it to the dealer so they can service it. If you want to be certain there is nothing wrong, purchase an inexpensive trouble code reader for your vehicle and see what it says. Most of code readers will allow you to clear the trouble codes also, and maybe that's all that needs to be done.

2005 kia sedona ex.

no it has nothing to do with regular oil changes as long as they are done right and frequent. is the yellow light say check engine or service engine soon? if it does take it to advance auto parts or a similiar parts store chain they usually will scan the pcm for free, but with only 24000 miles you should have warranty left on this vehicle if so take it to the dealer to fix at no cost to you.
