switch bad, sending conflicting commands to above.
or all wires related bad.
fails in modes 3 to 9
Int1 in2 Int3 Int4 Int5 Low and High?
i dismantale it all and look for siezed up parts.
the compressor is seized.
key off.
a/c belt off.
apply power 12vdc to the clutch, the clutch is not enabled.
then buy hand, again engine off. turn the a/c pulley buy
hand, i bet you cant, and is called Seized.
this method works for all parts, on all belts that might seize.
(only a/c needs the clutch active to feel it)
it is possible the clutch bearing is siezed.
that can be fell with not applying 12vdc it s coil.
well if it is ,and the car is a stander shift put it in 3rd gear and push it and while the car is moving let the clutch out and see if the motor turns., if it is automatic get a socket that fits the bolt on the front balancer with a long braker bar and see if you can turn the motor,. if you cant turn it then it most likely is siezed up , did you run it out of oil/
What I have done in my past is to loosen the motor mounts enough to push the motor forward. Just about an inch is all I did and no problems after when I put the transmission back in. Don't forget to remove the drive shaft first, and you must not forget to tighten the motor mounts back or you will cause a lot of damage!!! Best Wishes!!
To be sure it isn't seized up try to turn the engine over by hand ! Get a socket that fits the crankshaft bolt . 1/2 drive an a breaker bar , you can buy them at a parts store . Me i prefer craftsman . If it spinnes it's not seized , then you need to look at the electrical part of . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ? Voltage drop testing , how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Do you know the componets in the starting circuit ? Starter of course , PNP - park neutral position switch , starter relay , Heavy gage battery cable to the starter , control wire to the S terminal on the starter solenoid . How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit
Before anything is done to the AC, have the throttle body cleaned. A dirty throttle body will cause engine RPM to drop or even stall. What makes you think the compressor is seized? Does the compressor pulley spin when AC is engaged? If compressor was seized the pulley would not move and belt would squeal.
you can reach down and turn the crankshaft pully by hand to see. If you have a manual transmission, it's even easier; push it a little, put it in 3rd gear, and pop the clutch, and see if the engine turns that way.
check the oil and coolant levels. if coolant is low pull the sparkplugs and try to turn the engine over if still not turning free remove the serpentine belt and try again, if it turns over ok check the pullyes on the front of the motor to see if they all turn free by hand. a serpentine belt can prevent an engine from turning over if a tensioner, idler, water pump, alternator, or power steering pump is siezed up or starting to seize. being your battery is bad I'm thinking probably the alternator is seized. hope this helps mike.
