How do i adjust hand break new shoes fitted on a smart for two hand break lever is all the way uo ?

Adjusting the Hand Brake is quite easy

At the bottom of the Hand Brake Lever , you will see the cable with like nuts (teeth) on the cable locked by the lock on the lever it self, you will need to open the lock , take the cable off the lock , drop the handle down and put the cable back on the lever and lock it.

That is how the hand brake is adjusted on the Smart car 2002 model

Speedometer quit working on my 97 susuki marauder. Cable seems to be in ok shape.

Pull the cable out of the transmission and twirl the gear on the end of the cable, while someone watches the speedometer needle for slight movement. If the needle doesn't move, the cable probably broke. They often break close to that end, sometimes farther along the cable. Buy a replacement cable and fit it on. You will have to unsnap it from the back of the speedometer to replace. Unless you can get your hand up under to the cable end, you may have to pull out the instrument cluster-just a few inches to get your hand in back of the cluster. It is usually a pinch type fitting. Pinch or squeeze together the retainer to pull from the speedo.

My break pedal goes to the floor

There are several causes for the brake pedal going to the floor:
- Broken seals in brake`s principal pump.
- Broken seals on rear brake's cylinder. (big lieak on wheel)
- Worn rear brake shoes, making seal travel out of cylinder. (big leak on wheel)
- Leak on tubings.
- Empty brake fluid deposit.

Son called me saying he couldn't get filter off his 3.5 Audi A4. It would not turn, he was afraid he'd break the canister. I'm not familiar with this car.

if its the canister type filter, and he has a replacement.just sick a screwdriver through the side and turn it to the left to unscrew it.when renewing, smear the rubber seal before fitting to get a good seal.
hand tight is enough.

Leaking transition fluid from under dash on to break peddles. i think from the speedometer cable

they adapter that the speedo cable attaches to on the transmission is defective, this allows fluid to go up the turning cabe and get on the floor, replace the speedometer cable adapter at the trans.

I have bled brakes replaced front pads and even replaced rear passager wheel cylinder and re bled brakes still not working when car is running

Did you run out of brake fluid , if you did the brake master cylinder seal may have reversed and when you are trying to bleed the brakes the fluid is bypassing the seal , you think you have a good pedal when the engine is not running , but when you start the engine the pedal goes to the floor , you will need to fit a new or second hand master cylinder to cure the problem , I had this with my sons car and the problem was cured with a second hand master cylinder , I hope this helps
