There may be a separate fuse for the low beam, check that.
Otherwise it's most likely the Dip Switch faulty. If this is a combination switch on the column, they're not repairable and will have to be replaced.

You should check the dimmer switch.It is the switch that is totally in charge of high and low headlight functions.

answer'g form both dead, L and R, you did not say.....

is not fuses , power is shared with 2 fuses
its not ground , as it too is shared, L and R, and high and low.
so what is it, easy bad head light switch.

there may be a relay you have to replace go to your local parts store and they may be able to help

97 suzuki alto main beam on head lights not working but high beam fine


If there is only one headlight bulb you have to replace the whole bulb. Some cars have a separate high and low beam, some are together. Low beams usually burn out first since they get used more often and unfortunately have to be replaced even if the high beam still works. Hope that is helpful!

Need the wiring color diagram for a 1991 Suzuki Sidekick at the headlight plugs. i'm trying to wire in 100/80 Heliolite bulbs and yes I know they are off road only bulbs. i have the relays and a fuse and...


should be three wires one ground one power for low beam one power for high beams

unplug connector
take a test light (if dont own one buy one there real cheap and useful) clamp test light to good ground turn on lights on low beam probe wires in connector until test light lights this will be low beam power
no switch to high beams should have power on other wire

Low beams on the suzuki are not working but the high are...fuses good


Try changing the bulbs, somtimes the low beams will burn out first. also could be the switch.

Maybe , but maybe the high beams are burnt out.
The switch switches between high and low beams , they won't both be on at the same time.
