Rear wheel bearing still grinding after spindle shaft and wheels bearings were replaced
My driver side wheel sberaings went after being replaced 3 weeks before in fact the car was not drivable the wheel wobbled so I had the car towed we replaced the spindle shaft and both wheel bearing we had a terrible time getting the drum back on after getting the new bearings on the spindle we couldn't get the wheel to free spin no matter how loose the spindle nut was and if you drive it it grinds really bad

Most cars will go their liftime without a problem from wheel bearings. And they let you know when they go by billowing smoke out of the wheel as you drive, then it is too late, But the fronts are fairly easy, the rears, you cannot check, you have to go by ear, If they are grinding back there, they need attention, rear axle cars only, not front drive, the fronts are on a spindle that is easily accessed, Just rocking the wheel will tell you if it loose, but always listen first for for dry grinding sound, It will eventually get worse. NOTE: The wheel bearings are not serviceable. If the bearings are bad, a new hub/bearing assembly must be installed.
Remove or disconnect the following:

Brake drum, if equipped
Rear caliper and rotor assembly from the hub, if equipped
Hub dust cover
Raise the staked portion of the hub retaining nut with a hammer and chisel.
Remove or disconnect the following:
Hub retaining nut and discard it
Hub and bearing assembly from the spindle
Fig. 2: When installing the new hub nut, be sure to stake it into the notch on the spindle
Install or connect the following:
Bearing assembly on the spindle. Torque the new nut to 131-173 ft. lbs. (177-235 Nm)

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly
NOTE: Wheel bearings are not serviceable and should therefore be replaced as an assembly with the wheel hub (1104).
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Remove the hub grease cap (1131) from the wheel hub.
If equipped with disc brakes, remove the rear disc brake caliper (2552) and rear disc brake rotor (2C026). Refer to Section 06-04 for the removal procedure.
If equipped with drum brakes, remove the two brake drum screws and the brake drum (1126).
Unstake the rear axle wheel hub retainer (4B477) securing the wheel hub to the rear wheel spindle (4A013). Remove and discard the rear axle wheel hub retainer.
Bearings are pressed into the hubs...much easier, faster and economical (if you don't have a press) to replace the complete bearing/hub assembly, no pressing is needed, since bearings are already pressed into the new hubs. Cost..aprox, 60 buxs each. Here are the steps for the rear replacement... Loosen the lug nuts on a rear wheel. 2) Chock the wheels and jack the rear of the car on the side with the lug nuts that you just loosened. 3) Remove the wheel by removing the lug nuts. 4) Pry open the dust cap covering the center of the axle/spindle. A small screwdriver tapped into the space between the hub and dust cap will work well for this. 5) With the dust cap now removed, use a thin center punch to straighten the little dent in the rim of the spindle nut so that you will be able to turn it freely in the next step. 6) Use a 32mm socket and a large breaker-bar to loosen the spindle nut. Unscrew the nut all the way and place it in a clean, safe area. 7) You should now be able to slide the hub/bearing assembly from the shaft. 8) Installation is the reverse of removal. Use plenty of high-temperature wheel bearing grease on all surfaces before you mount the replacement hub assembly.
IMPORTANT: Torque the spindle nut to 134 ft/lbs....(per manual specs)
When reinstalling the dust caps, tap them gently into place to avoid denting them...Install wheels, jack her down and pat yourself on the back...job complete. Good luck..hope this will fixya up...please take time to leave me a fixya rateing...
The brake rotor needs to be removed, drive shaft nut in center of hub then 3 bolts hold the hub assembly to spindle from back side. if it has abs unplug it then some work will need to be done with a hammer and chisel to work the bearing out of spindle and axle shaft from bearing
