Someone did work on my car and now all those wires are exposed. What do they do, like what are they for?

Have to get a factory wiring diagram for that answer

Why have you not taken the car back to the butchers
that did that kind of work?

Well Teddy, funny you should ask. I am going thru a divorce and I was given the charger as one of the things i got after 8 years. His cousin, who I think is not good, worked on it and then I didn't have to pay, it was the last time that my ex would pay for my car (which I think he has a "tab"). So they had it for 8 days and after bugging them to death he said just come get it. The motor mount was supposedly fixed, which the engine rattles around more now than ever, and all the wires under both seats are all exposed. It is a nightmare.

I put the car in to get an inspection sticker. After the 4th day he told me the motor mount needed to be replaced. Hence having it for 8 days. When I first got the car back the bumping I was hearing under my feet, when I drove, seem to subside; but not for long, it is worse than ever. I also started hearing a hum in the car, sounded like it was coming from the dash, which prompted me to look under the seats, which is when I saw all the wires that are usually under a little box thing. So currently this is what I have, no warm air will blow out of the drivers side, oil light is on, lights are not working on the heating controls on the driver side, humming in the car (even when the key is out) mega rattling engine. It is a fricken nightmare.....UGH.. I can't let go of my car for another 8 days and my ex is blowing me off!!! GRRRRRR!!!

The power for the front passenger seat is not working

Check connections under the seat if they are connected it is a problem within the wiring or a fuse refer to the user manual for fuse locations

Where are the fuses located for the air conditioner in a 2001 pontiac bonneville

The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.

To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.

To reinstall the rear seat cushion:

1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.

Notice:
The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.

Is there a unused front seat power wiring harness hidden under the carpet ?

No If it didnt come with power seats. If you have the tracks and the seat controls are on the side of the new seat all you need to do is run a a 10 or 15 amp fused power wire out the fuse box and ad a ground.

Front windows and sunroof do not close?

6_18_2013_2_47_56_pm.jpgIf fuse 14 is blown and it blows again later, you should try disconnecting the rear footwell light (connector under the seat). The wiring is known to fray inside the seatback, which can cause the short when you sit in the driver's seat. If you look up under the front seat, the footwell light is the black two-wire connector at the top of the picture below:

Power seat will not work

The power feed wires for the seat run under drivers front rug along hump. Very common for water or washer solvent ( it also is routed under the seat for rear wipers) to corrode the wires. Pull up carpet locate broken wires.

FRONT HEATED SEATS

you need to check the resistance in each of the heated seat elements in the seat. There's a two wire connector under the back of each front seat. The connector should be green. disconnect it and measure the resistance along the circuit going into the seat. if it isnt .1 - .3 ohms, replace the appropriate heated seat element

The front driver seat on 2004 Camry is stuck

Perhaps an item got caught under the seat and possibly affected the linkage wire between rail tracks.A small linkage wire trips the console side track.Without this, that particular track will not disengage.Look under the good working passenger side seat and you might notice this linkage wire.It will then give you an opportunity to see if it works well on the inop seat. You can pull that wire(or trip that linkage arm by hand if you are in a dilemma and need the seat moved in order to drive but use caution on these moving parts and dont get pinched.
