What is all needed for a tune up on a 1995 volvo 960

I usually service Ford family Brands and will try to assist you. Back in 1995 there was a change to longer service life sparkplugs and the elimination of Distributors with Crankshaft sensor firing of the plugs. It really depends on the Manufacturers' idea of when to replace sparkplugs by mileage and the various filters on the engine.

You can install plugs and filters anytime you want; just a matter of prematurely spending money on something you do not need. Air filters 12,000 miles, Sparkplugs 50,000 to 100,000 miles, Serpetine Fan Belt 40,000 to 45,000 miles, Fuel filter 25,000 to 45,000 miles.

Check with Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys for information about Manufacturers specs. Stay on an oil change interval based on your driving habits. Sometimes oil breaks down without higher miles and you need to change by date rather than by use. Clean oil for Winter starts, clean oil for Summer driving. Twice a year is adequate for low mileage. Watch your Antifreeze, it chemically changes after 3 years and loses corrosion inhibitors.

I hope at least some of my suggestions are useful to you.

1. How do i reset the 'change oil light'? 2. Do this car take a tune-up?

It depends on whether you have the optional Driver Information Center or not.

If not, turn the key to the "ON" position, without starting the engine. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor and release three (3) times within five (5) seconds, then turn the key OFF. If the oil change light comes back on when you start the engine, it did not reset, and you will have to try again.

If you have the optional Driver Information Center (DIC), turn the key to the "ON" position, without starting the engine, Press the MODE button on the DIC until it reads "OIL LIFE LEFT/HOLD SET TO RESET", then press and hold the SET button until 100% is is shown. You will hear three (3) chimes, and the "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light will go off. Turn the key to "OFF".

That's it.

And yes, every car with spark plugs, filters, etc. "takes" a tune-up.

How often should i have my dodge charger tuned up?

Have the car serviced every 3,000 miles with oil/filter change. Have a complete tune up every 30,000 miles. This will keep your car in tip top condition. Hope this will help you.

How often may i tune up my 2004 jeep liverty.

You can tune it up every day if you want to but you only need to do a major tune up about every 80K miles. It is good to give everything a "once over" at least once every two months...check the coolant level, air filter, hoses, drivebelt etc and clean / replace as needed and make sure there is nothing obvious that needs attention. Most important is to regularly check the oil level and change it when necessary. I use synthetics as they reduce friction (wear) and last longer than conventional lubricants.
good luck!

What parts do I need for a 1999 chevy prizm for a tune up?

Depending on your mileage, there are different things to change. Being that you have a 99, I'd do the following: oil and oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, and rotate your tires. Take a look at your brake pads and replace them if needed. Make sure your tires are around 36 psi at all four corners. Top off your coolant if needed, as well as brake fluid if needed. A tip for you to help out with this - buy a can of a product called Seafoam, and add half the can to your oil. Drive the car about 75-100 miles, and then change the oil and filter. It'll break down sludge and deposits and help the oiling system work better. For preventative care, do this every 5th oil change. Pour the other half into the fuel tank to clean that system.

How often do it need an tune up,oil change engine coolant and brakes changed?wen to check the oil

this depends on how you drive and how many miles you have on your car and what type oil you are using, on a 1994 you should do a tune up every 30 to 40 thousand miles. You need to do a engine clean then change oil. if you use a good quality oil you can go every 3 to 5 thousand miles on changing oil. You need to change the oil in the drive train after 30 thousand miles and the transmission oil and filter should be changed every 30 thousand miles. Also the Thermostat and antifreeze should be changed every two years to make sure the anti freeze is still lubricating the water pump. Failure to change antifreeze has burt up more engines than I can recall. Check oil in the morning when cold. Check the transmission oil when hot and in park. If you want more detailed information post here.

I want to tune-up, myself , where do I get information? Advice?

right here! for a tune up all you got to do is change your oil, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter. not very hard to do! to change oil, you got to drain all the oil out with a socket or wrench. make sure its not the transmission you drain. but drain oil, then take filter off, take new filter rub oil around the top on the rubber sealing. put on car. put about 5 quarts of oil in. get spark plug socket, change plugs. when you change plug wires, make sure to do it ONE AT A TIME!!! or else you will wire it up wrong and have tons and tons of problems. then air filter is pretty easy, take it out and clean it,,put back in and there you go, tuned up!
