When I turn the key I get nothing no clicks from the starter and all the electrical things in the car work so it's not the battery. What could it be?

The shifter interlock or Neutral safety switch on the transmission is not working.

Most cars will not let you engage the starter unless the gearshift is in neutral, or the clutch is depressed. Check your clutch depress switch.

This problem is the relay solanoid on the right firewall in the engine compartment. Relay powers everything in the vehicle excluding the stereo and the starter.

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

SOURCE: turn key on, but doesnt even click. battery and starter are fine

This may be due to a bad neutral safety switch, is this car automatic or manual transmission?

If automatic try to start in neutral and if manual try to locate switch on clutch pedal and use a jumper wire to jump connector for switch, NOTE; If switch is jumped car will start in gear with pedal not pushed down and car will take off so this is just as a test not a repair!!!!!, good day

It's a electrical problem as when you turn the key nothing happens so first thing is get a multimeter and check the starter motor has power when you go to start the engine , check both terminals to and from the battery good luck colin

Check for 12V at the starter. If its there but the started won't turn you have a bad started drive.

One of two things is possibly wrong, the starter solenoid is bad or the starter has failed. Sounds like you battery is fine.

Lots of stuff !
#1 If you can ,try to start it in neutral.
#2 In park hold the key so start and have an assistant rap the
starter motor lightly with a bar or whatever(if that works the brushes
in the starter are going, starter time)
#3 turn on the headlights ,have your assistant watch, they should
be bright, then turn the key,if the lights stay bright,it's a fault of the
starter or key/ignition system. If the lights go dim or out it's just
a battery terminal connection.
A few things to try anyway, good luck.

What happens when you turn the key?... is there a clicking or clunking noise?... try tapping the starter and the solenoid that is attached to the starter and see if that helps. It may help if you have someone else turn the key while you tap on the starter and solenoid.
